Default Got Totally Hosed - Went From Level 67 to Level 1

Been a long time player of this great game and was up to Level 67 with all weapons maxed out and had about $3.5M in silver. I had my iPod attached to my laptop while playing and my laptop crashed for some reason (blue screen of death). When I went back in to BT, I was back at Level 1 . I thought the backup was automatic for some reason (won't make that mistake again), so I am basically screwed . Moral of the story: backup your progress!

From reading other posts from players that have also experienced this loss in progress, I'm assuming that nothing can be done. Has anyone been able to get anyone from Kiloo to give back some of the progress that they have made in the form of crystals/silver? Not crossing my fingers, just thought I'd ask.

Lastly, if you see me out there have pity on me and don't automatically exit the game. I obviously know how to play, just don't have the necessary hardware/weapons to kill mutants very quickly anymore. After playing a bit, I am now at Level 16 with Dust Devil pants and one "pea shooter" of a weapon aka Death Dealers. No other armor/hats/add-ons. Plan on adding Paladin Armor/Mask and play Run/Gun when I get to the levels that I can't survive. First weapon purchase will be Predator since it only requires Silver to buy. Next will be Apollon so I can legitimately play Run/Gun.

Laptop? Bullet Time HD? I'm not sure I follow the connection there, could you elaborate please?

My iPod Touch was connected to my laptop when the laptop crashed. Not sure if the laptop crash had anything to do with my loss in progress but couldn't think of anything else. Could be unrelated. Not sure where your progress is "saved" if you don't back it up manually in BT, was just thinking that it could be on my laptop via iTunes. Theorizing that the problem occurred after auto synching my iPod after the crash.

Edited my original message to clarify that my iPod was connected to my laptop when the laptop crash happened.

Let's just say I had a recent experience with someone who didn't seem to like using medipacks, or any other boosts. After watching him fall a couple of times, he started using some, so I played a little more supportively. But lo and behold...his medipack usage drops as soon as I offer any support: I waited a little while to see what happens when he's on critically low health, and it took him about 2 minutes of running around with practically no blue in his bar before he decided to use a medipack of his own.

Let's just say, after picking him up about 5 times without recalling any medipack usage, I got fed up and left him on the ground, even after one wave finished and the next began. The fact that he remained in the match led me to conclude he's really just waiting for me to pick up silver and crystals for him, so I actually cut the match right there and then.

Perhaps not the most savoury way of dealing with an uncooperative teammate, I know. But what would your reactions have been, and how do you deal with these types of freeloaders?
When I notice something like that happening I just leave.

I am busy as well. But I am still here. After all this is my favorite game of all time. Kiloo must have been very busy with Subway Surfers (that's a far more popular game for sure) - but what about the 3rd game?

Are you using it to keep track of whenever someone posts in here, or are you trying to track attempts to set up matches specifically?

If it's the latter, and the gaming activity picks up in here, I would suggest creating a separate thread or a discussion within a social group elsewhere dedicated to setting up matches. I'm a participant in another gaming thread on Touch Arcade, and that's the system we developed to separate the attempts to organise matches from the chatter/game-talk.

Similarly to what you were trying to do above, you can create a notification system by subscribing to the thread/discussion, and then allowing email notifications. For a match set-up thread, you can take it one step further by linking your email to the Mail app on your iDevice, and then setting your Mail fetch settings to "Push" -- this will cause your iDevice to send you a push notification every time you receive a new email, which acts as a workaround new-post notification system given that Touch Arcade's app seems to lack such alerts.
