Great update, but my heart dropped a bit at the crystals the new armor, gear and weapons require. It's going to take a whole lot of grinding, and I don't know if I am up to that...

Edit: it would probably help if we could sell our 'previous level' gear for crystals and/or silver.

ha... agreed...

I took a look at all the new pricing, and deleted the game. I don't have the time... or the cash to spare right now...

^^^ That's a pity. May follow in syntheticvoid's footsteps, as I feel that he is a barometer of taste on these parts. Kiloo, can we hear from you if the drops have increased, or at least are not entirely random? I played a multiplayer game til level 15 before a horrible disconnect left me stranded (prior to update), and no crystals at all!

Also, would anyone like to chip in regarding which is the best difficulty to play on to get silver and crystals? I would imagine chapter 2 normal; a run would probably yield on the average 2-3 crystals per run. Or is it better to play at higher difficulties and expend more boosts?

^^^ I haven't updated yet. How is the deathmatch multiplayer? How much grinding and IAPs to really enjoy the game? Costwise? I'm level 13 and I do love the game but find myself not really being up to the task of countless of hours of gameplay to not advance that far. Thoughts?

When looking at the store menu for armour, weapons, etc. do the colours of the names mean anything? It would be great to tell at a glance which items are better than what I currently have equipped (without having to go back to the screens that show what I do have), but it doesn't seem to indicate that - unless I missed something.

I've only tried out the deathmatch with a friend, and it is reminiscent of Deadlock. However, I foresee it to become a highly unbalanced affair should one be matched up against those who forked out the moolah to get the best equipment (and boosts).

A rough estimate of getting the best equipment, which includes add ons, armor and weapons (barring the Gojira) works out to be around 300++++ crystals.

Assuming that the best way to grind were to play Chapter 2 normal for crystals, and each run yields 2-3 crystals on the average, and a fast run would probably be ard 20-30 minutes, you are looking at over 3000 minutes of grinding. This is my roughest estimate, someone please correct me if I am wrong.

Not to take anything away from Kiloo, cos it's an update that answered a number of most requests but I feel that this upgrade is designed to have people spend real money on ingame currency (silver and crystals). You can get free silver and crystals now, but this is pretty skimpy as well.

Don't get me wrong, Bullet Time is a great game with great support, but I feel underwhelmed with the recent update.

Edit: Mr Grizzly, I think colors denote the level of awesomeness of the equipment. At the moment, purple is the awesomest equipment, followed by blue, then green.

Wow. This is quite the upgrade. One of the more content-packed we usually see for any game. I am looking forward to the continued evolution of Bullet Time.

(On a related note: we can no longer see the special ability (such as Mobility for pistols, etc) of weapons in the store. I'm guessing these are still there, only not written out. Is this indeed the case?)

All I would really want now (which I know will not happen, the game being far out of alpha and all that ), would be something to make combat just a bit more dynamic, and give us something to do besides shooting while strafing slowly. A dodging/rolling button would most certainly do the trick. Hey, a wastelander can dream, canna he?

Hi guys! Will get to all your feedback as fast as I can, there's a lot going on with the update launching so soon. Let me first say that we're taking note of all your feedback.

Some of the new weapons will definitely take some grinding, but with this first content update we wanted to add a new tier of weapons suited for the harder difficulties, since a lot of users have been having trouble beating 'Hard' and 'Hell'. And in order to balance the game properly, the prices had to be adjusted.

Playing the game on the harder difficulties will result in a lot of more silver and crystals, so yes some of the new weapons are targeted at very experienced users, but we'll definitely make sure to have something in every price range going forward.

If a Chapter 2 'Normal' run only results in 2-3 Crystals that's definitely a bug. A lot of the larger monsters have a great chance of dropping and the final boss alone should at least give 2-3.

Keep the feedback coming, so we can adjust the January update accordingly! I hope you'll enjoy the new features.

Then i have also that bug.
normal act 2 run gives an average of 2-3 cristals.
hard act 2 gives an average of 4-5
hell act 2 gives an average of 6-7.

I find hard to be the most time efficient.

Anyway, thanks again for the great game and for this great update

Hi Kiloo_Jeppe! Thanks for the reply. You guys are really among the best in responding to your fan base!

Anyway, with regard to crystals, I am under the impression that the drops were rather "buggy". I had the experience of going through a few runs through Chapter 2 normal back to back and got only 1, maximum 2 or even no crystals even from the end boss.

As mentioned in my previous post, the crystal drops for multiplayer is "bugged" as well, in the sense that, right before the update, I got to level 15 and no crystal drops at all.

Would just like to know, if the crystal drops are a random thing, and that's why this is happening? To be fair, I have had a run or 2 where I got 6 crystals so I was thinking that it was more of an averaging thing rather than a bug issue, if that makes any sense. :P

Can't wait for January for the update, but I think there should be a 'patch' for the crystal thingy before that! More time to suit up John for Chapter 3!
