So, if I haven't played Battleheart yet (yeah yeah yeah, I'm getting to it) would this game serve as a decent preview slash motivator to buy Battleheart?

Yes. Kinda like a demo. The game mechanics here are copied almost exactly, but the gameplay itself is steril and boring. And from what I played it very much encourages you to purchase IAPs, as the rate you earn money is very slow.

I do like the map, though!

Not having played Battleheart yet, I actually quite like this. I don't feel pressured to buy the IAPs, and the (to me) novel gameplay is quite neat. Like the map too, as others have mentioned. If this stays free, the cloning aside, this is an alright game.


Still, I have bought Battleheart because of this game, because the gameplay rocks. Let's see how that compares...

I... Don't know what that means.

But I've now played both and Battleheard I've played a lot longer. It's just better. Still, I'm not going to lie and say there's nothing to like about this knock-off.
