Man, I kind of brushed this off after a couple of games when TA first had this on the front page and finally got around to going back to it on Friday... holy crap, I should have stuck with it more. Plonked down the cash and grabbed all 4 starters and a couple of boosters now. Deleted Shadow Era while I was at it. I was stupid huge into MTG in its early years, and Shadow Era tries so hard to be MTG and just comes off as methadone next to heroin. This game is doing something actually different, a whole new drug; plays tight and fast, and really hits the nail for "easy to learn, difficult to master".

Kudos to the devs.

Friend Matches

• 4 new rare cards, 1 for each cabal
• 2 new maps
• Fixed the timeout issue
• In-game change, which allows to see the opponent details
• In-game change, actions can be used also by dragging and dropping
• UI change: all the non-targeted actions are now used by pressing on either hero
• Additions to How to Play: Stamina and maximum hand size
• Full screen -card opens now consistently on all units
• And other tweaks

Card Changes:

• Danann: The base cost of Sidh increased to 4
• Danann: The base cost of Decompose increased to 4
• Zahir: The loyalty cost of Depraved Aristocrat lowered to 1
• Vril: The activation cost of Blitz trooper lowered to 2

New cards:

Infest the Mind (Bearclaw Brotherhood)
Action | 1BBB | Target unit on a non-stronghold tile cannot move until the beginning of your next turn. Draw a card.

Clone (Order of Zahir)
Unit(2) | 3YY | 2R, E: Clone gains the power and abilities of target unit.

Danann Shapechange (Danann Covenant)
Action | 4GG | Target unit is healed and loses all effects and abilities and has the power of 4.

Armanic Warrior (Vril Society)
Unit(7) | 5RR | Pay 2R at the start of your turn

What was the timeout issue? Was that the problem in which the game would disconnect (without seeming to have) if you put the device to sleep or return to the springboard?

Two months and more is very impressive for a game that just celebrated two months in the app store today.

I'm not sure what you're not getting, it's pretty easy to learn, and one of the best TCGs I've ever played.

My bad, I exaggerated a bit. I love TCGs. For some reason I just cannot learn how to play this. I still keep it on my ipad in hopes they bring out a nice interactive tutorial. I admit, I do not like reading games. I prefer interactions.

There's no need to wait for the interactive tutorial, which will come before summer along with other improvements on the approachability.

Join the Cabals IRC channel we'll guide you through the game, strategy and tactics. There's plenty of interaction on the IRC channel. People are setting friend matches, discussing about tactics and card changes and receiving occasional news and insiders from the development team

Sign up for Cabals tournament!

This Tournament will be an event hosted and organized by the Cabals: The Card Game community, with official support from KyyGames. This will be the first Tournament after the January 2012 update, meant to take advantage of the new "Friend Matchmaking" system.

The Tournament will be a 1 vs. 1, best 2 of 3 games, single elimination. Players can use any cards available with which to construct their decks. A timeout will count as a loss, but the best 2 of 3 will help to account for any timeout issues. Seeding will be determined using a player's current rank on the competitive leader boards at the discretion of the Tournament organizers.

KyyGames has offered to sponsor this Tournament and give prizes to the winner(s). Detail on the prizes is as follows:

1st Place: 500 Influence deposited in their account
2nd Place: 300 Influence deposited in their account
3rd Place: 150 Influence deposited in their account

Also, the top 4 players will be recorded in the Cabals 'Hall of Fame'.
