With the latest and definitively greatest update of Cabals and the introduction of rewards for multiplayer, I'm going to start playing online big time, in preparation for async.
However, Kyy Games, might we beseech you for some more traditional friend functionality? Adding users by their names/email, a list where we can see if they are online (combined with user profiles, etc, all very conductive to an active multiplayer community), and, if so, invite them to a game? While yer at it, a traditional lobby, where we can create both open and password-protected/invite only games. Challenging friend with an accompanying push notification, a mechanic used in async games and in some realtime multiplayer games, would also do wonders for friendly matchmaking. The current system is extremely limited. To be able to actually play against a friend, we'd basically have to be on another phone, since we can't even exit Cabals to send the friend code without breaking the matchmaking connection. This also puts a very effective stopper to building up a number of online-only friends, or friend-adding strangers after nice games. Last edited by Ayjona; 02-20-2012 at 07:34 PM.. |

Uh, I think this last update broke the game saving upon closing the app. I tried playing a single player game, and after doing something else and then coming back to the game (having to login again), the game was gone.
I also tried a multiplayer game. I got a phone call during the game, and after that was done, when I returned to the game, it said I timed out (and as a result lost exp. and ranking). That's just lame. For any mobile game, there needs to be a minimum acceptable away time for each turn. Either do it like Ascension, in which players can set the amount of time (which is the total amount of time a player can delay all turns throughout the game), or simply have a set time, like 1 day - better if players can set it themselves though. I was so excited to be able to get into playing since the ability to continue games was fixed, but it looks like I'll have to stop playing again.

Why is it that sometimes I'll have enough resources to play a card but the card will be greyed out and unplayable?

Mechanism is called [Loyalty cost] See: howtoplay, slide 5/10 "Cards become cheaper to play for each identical loyalty already in play" Note: your hero always counts as one. As a response to your earlier question about why you might lose a game during your phone call: The online game is supposed to be played in one go. Player has 1 minute idle timer after which the game is lost if no action is taken, and 4 minute turn timer after which the turn passes to the opponent. If you kill the application or boot your phone the single player game will not be saved, however you should be able to continue the single player game after any period of time as long as the application has been "alive in the background". Hopefully this helps. Cheers, Mika Ceo, Founder Kyy Games Cabals: The Card Game Last edited by Kyy Games; 03-14-2012 at 08:37 AM.. |

Have you considered an Xbox Live or PSN port?
