They're not human, and it's implied that they may even be aliens. If that's true, it's entirely possible that they're naturally that large.

Is it just me or is the Infinityblade storline/world some of the most originals concepts in gaming in a long time, even compared to consoles.
It has a sort of a mix between eastern and western middle age setting, and it takes place on an alien world!!!! Don't get me started on the costume design, it is second to only Demon Souls in awesomness. |

The idea of regular folk setting themselves up as gods using advanced technology is hardly new. Go read Roger Zelazny's trippy SF novel Lord of Light - colonists escaping a dying Earth set themselves up as Hindu deities and battle to be king of the hill, and the guy who plays Buddha (as a kind of quiet revolutionary) tries to sort everything out. If you can handle crazy 1960s philosophical science fiction it's a fantastic read.
On the other hand, while Infinity Blade doesn't come close to that in terms of quality writing I have enjoyed the story a lot more than I expected to. Bought the novella, liked the plot unfolding, am genuinely interested to see where Chair take the writing in future. It's pulp, but it's very enjoyable, surprisingly well done pulp. I even liked the voice acting quite a bit. |

•••Spoiler: I was disappointed with TEL's voice acting. I expected it/him/her to sound more like a minion than an android especially with the trademark saying 'o this is not good, not good at all'

Besides, TEL is an automaton, not a living being. Of course it's voice is going to be digitized. Even the Deathless don't have clear voices. The guard for the stone demon, the Beast-mech pilot, the Archivist, and Isa all sound human. Even the Ancestor was barely muffled by his helmet, and even then, he was speaking a foreign language. Also, I noticed in the first game, whenever "the God King" is said, "Infinity" is the word that is audible. |

And I think some of the deathless maybe so big brcause of genetic engineering, I mean if tey have tech that allows them to live forever it seems reasonable that they could make themselves look like monsters or just be giant humans. And in the novels TEL specifically calls daerils QIP mutants. And to the person that said something about it taking place on an Alien planet, if you watch the final cutscene of IB1 closely you can tell that the planet you're on is Earth (the continents are visible), however, the moon is destroyed. |

I guess only a few can take him on as of yet. Few as in, not enough to win the mob prize. |
