There is an in-game recalibration button. It centers the aim.

First off I must admit I am loving the game. I am not much of a tilt control fan, but it feels pretty solid. There is an option to turn off gyro and use relative touch. Controls feel solid both touch and gyro, does thake some time to get used to but should be fairly quick.
Graphics are solid sound not too sure because playing at work so using mute.
I have only played for 10 minutes, but already hooked. I will add more to the impressions later this evening after I get some quality time.
Overall for the price of $.99 highly recommended and it's universal. The only negative thus far is this game may be lost with the highly publicized IB 2 and COD Zombies.
If you are a fan of shooting games get it, this is worth the price of admission and such a great deal for a fun solid shooter.

EDIT:
After investing more time I am loving the game even more. This time on my iPad 2 and the controls are excellent. Having the ability to reset the gyro is very helpful. The action is engaging and challenging, but fair. The sound is solid and the game play is fun. I stand by my initial impression, the game is well worth the price, and the fun you will get is by far more than the .99 price tag. Awesome job and hope this game will not get lost with the big game releases this week.

Of all the games my 4 yr old daughter picked to buy this week, this is one of here favorites. It's crazy I'm 33yrs and when I was young I never even dreamed of anything like the games they come out with. We played with slingshots and GI Joes and a big clunky game boy. Kids these days are so lucky and they can use the iPods and iPhones as good as anyone. I hope it helps their brains develope. Kids are crazy haha.
