JUDGEMENT IS COMING!

The ultimate lawman of the future, Judge Dredd, comes to screens worldwide this month in DREDD 3D. Karl Urban dons the helmet as the ironman of the law, with Olivia Thirlby playing psychic rookie Judge Anderson!

Written by Alex Garland, the man behind Sunshine and 28 Days Later, the film sees Dredd and Anderson trapped in a 200-storey city block with the followers of ruthless gang leader Ma-Ma - played by Game of Thrones' Lena Headey - out for their blood.

Now, watch the trailer for the awesome new movie before taking control of the most famous Judge of all time in JUDGE DREDD VS. ZOMBIES!

You must protect Mega-City One from a zombie invasion! Arm yourself with a Lawgiver pistol and three other devastating, upgradable weapons. Fight four deadly zombie archetypes in thirty levels of game play. Choose from seven special upgrades to give you an edge over your undead foe!

Earn stars and commendations based on performance. Ensure your Law meter is kept to maximum at all times by eliminating zombies, collecting shields and avoiding damage. Whaaaaaat, a Judge Dredd themed DS-shooter? I wonder if this has anything to do with the rumored Judge Dredd gamebooks that Tin Man Games is working on.

This game becomes near impossible without the iap, trouble is its hugely overpriced. I'm a big Dredd fan but I'm not going to cave in.
I truly hate this business model and I can only see things getting worse. There are dark times ahead for iOS gaming.

Games that will never leave my iPad : Great Big Wargame, Battle Academy, Battle of the Bulge, Ravenmark and Hunters 2.

Have to agree... it's incredibly difficult if you don't buy the IAP items... I hate when games push you towards the IAP to this extent.

Love when people get all dramatic based on the example of throwaway title like this one. In the meantime, games like Scribblenauts, The Bards Tale, Infinity Blade 2, Bullet Time, Shadowgun, MC3, Zen Pinball, Extraction, Epoch, Dark Meadow, CoD:BOZ and even Nightworld (from Glu, the king of ridiculous IAP) have all adopted far better business models.

There are always going to be developers and publishers who will take the hook-'em-for-bucks approach, just like in the console world you have the overpriced map-packs, the instant DLCs, and the barely revised "sequels" selling at full price. Just make sure to support vendors who are doing the right thing.

yeah, there's plenty of developers keeping the whole spirit of top notch awesome gaming alive...

Just because a couple developers take this crappy 'buy our IAPs or don't play the game' approach every now and again doesn't mean the whole scene is going to hell...
