However... this is a stunning game. Without doubt the best on my iPad - and I buy SO many games. If this continues to get support - and we see expansions etc - I can see me playing this for a LONG time.

Don't let my moaning put you off TOO much - you really shouldn't miss this.

Default Deep Strategy

Very well done game Ubi. Still getting crashes every 4-5 games or so, esp. after defeats. Apart from that, this game is very well executed.

I've played OverPower (way back in the day) which was shorter on strategy that this game) and Vs. System (which was similar), never touched MTG. This is already a pretty deep game. Looking forward to the Auction house functionality and additional Single Player campaigns.

I am hamfam1847 on the game as well - feel free to add me as a friend. It will be interesting to see what kind of meta evolves with this set. Speaking of which, UbiGabe (I think that's you...) Is there any sort of release schedule you guys anticipate for expansions?

See you all on the battlefield...

Let me share with you what I think is my current strongest deck.

** Claudia Auditore Deck **
- 2 Discreet Calling
- 5 Knowledge is Power
- 5 Forced Charity
- 4 Quick study
- 1 Target Practice

- 1 Fabio Orsini
- 2 Fiora Cavazza
- 2 Paola
- 2 Madonna Solari
- 1 Claudia Auditore, Assassin
- 1 Claudia Auditore
- 2 Maria Auditore
- 2 Amerigo Vespucci
- 1 Antonio de Magianis
- 2 Mario Auditore
- 1 Giovanni Auditore
- 3 Ezio Auditore, Assassin
- 3 Leonardo Da Vinci

- 3 Engineer's Workroom
- 5 Assassins Guild
- 2 Academy of Physic

This one is as awesome to play as complex. It's a control deck, you have to evaluate threats played by your opponent and counter them while building a big threat yourself.

To do so, you have two big synergies: sites and agents.
- AGENTS:
* Control of sites: Maria Auditore can discard an agent (preferably a Courtesan) to draw Antonio or Giovanni giving you the edge in the site war.

* Control of Agents: Maria can make you draw Mario, Ezio, Amerigo and Fiora to take control of the Board.

* Threat: just play some Leonardo and Ezios to propose a challenging threat. Try to keep some of them in your hand too, because mass destruction spells are your biggest weakness. So, don't play more than 1 or 2 unless you have to.

- SITE:
* Control of Sites: just keep bumping and playing Assassins Guilds to reduce your opponent influence where you have to. Be sure to play the Academy in a region without site-threat.

* Control of Agents: the same tactic will also deal with agents on the field. Only Safe agents will be a problem.

* Threat: you can cumulate a few sites on a region to slowly take it for you.

Now that you got the whole deck mechanic, you know what to pick with the numerous "tutors" the deck has. Maria, Madonna and the Academy are key cards you have to protect.

The trick is now to get enough ressources to play the deck. Knowlege is Power and Forced Charity are here for that. In early game, prioritize them because without a correct amount of ressources, you won't be able to have fun with this deck.

That's it. Feel free to critic it, to tweak it, and to play it yourself. Right now, I'm undefeated with it (both AI and PvP) and I'm only scared by Safe-mass destruction decks (like the one played by AI with Silvio Barbarigo). The good thing is that the Assassins Guild spam will deal with 90% of your opponents by itself while your Agents can de whatever they want.

Enjoy!

(and I'll try to post a templar only deck this evening, promess) ^^

No question about it. Its an excellent game. I'm enjoying the gameplay, its the (or lack of) customer service that offends me.

Until they start actually providing support for the game to their customers, I'll resist the temptation of grabbing some boosters packs.

Is it just me or does the game tend to crash after a couple of multiplayer matches? These crashes are always when I hit the "Continue" after the end of the match at the Victory/Defeat screen once out of the game itself.

I'm not really convinced that there has been bad customer service on the part of Ubisoft. Sure, badmanj seems to have had some troubles, but his issue has been addressed a couple of times in this thread.

True, the game does have issues; however, Ubisoft has responded promptly and has already released two updates (one broken, unfortunately) to address the worst of the problems (including fixing the translation on several cards), as well as upgraded servers to meet the high demand. Combine this with the fact that the early adopters were given 1,500 Animus credits for their inconveniences, and I don't see where Ubisoft has failed in their desire to help their customers. There are other bugs that need to be ironed out, but this is no different from any other release on the App Store.

Thanks for the deck list and how to play it..

What do Leonardo and Engineer's Workroom do? I opened around 60 assassin and 60 templar packs but I haven't seen any of those and Ezio as well (I have played against it so I know what it does). I assume they both are of assassin faction? Curious how many packs you opened for them. Man, this game starts getting very expensive Auction House can't come soon enough.

Edit: and how do you deal with Action-based decks? I don't see any interrupts. Not that I've seen any except for mine. Listing to come once I'm done tuning it.. It's pretty good but somewhat inconsistent. Oh.. how does it fare against Femme Fatale?

So, as I said....

Here is a very cheap deck that has a good chance to beat everything.

** Papal Militants **
- 5 Persistant Handlers
- 5 Militant Militia
- 5 Micheletto Corella
- 5 Silvestro Sabatini
- 5 Cahin
- 5 Papal Influence
- 5 Basilica di San Marco
- 5 A call to Action
- 2 Ercole Massimo
- 3 Tactical Upheaval
- 5 Rares between: Caha, Man of the People, Carnivale, Calling all stand-ins.

So it's a Millitant rush, with Faith cards providing a second breath when your opp starts to retake control of the board.
It only has 5 rares, and you can choose which one you want to play. This deck should be buildable with the 300 credits daily reward.

Hope this will help.

Leonardo is a Fierce cunning 5/5 for 10 who makes you draw 2 cards when you play him. He's awesome. Better card advantage than In depth analysis.

Engineer's workroom is a 1 cost site that you can activate for 2. If you do so, you lose all your gold, and you can replace it by any site in your sequence that has a cost inferior or equal to the gold lost. It's just another way to build up the site-side of the deck. Very good card by itself with just Assassin Guild and Hidden Catacombs.

I didn't face any Femme Fatale yet. I guess I would have to focus on Agent killing really fast. Not sure I'd win this match up. Can test that alone.

What do you call Action decks? A deck based on Papal influence or King's Intervention? I tried to build many of them, but never got something satisfying enough yet. Share your deck list!

If this kind of deck starts to become popular, I'll add some Scientific Espionnage. I can win with a Femme Fatale too

On a funny side note, I lost the game I played just after posting this thread against a very good Thieves rush. (and won the re-match just after ^^)
