I guess when you think about MTG - I mean I've not played it for many years - but I would usually buy four boxes of boosters every time a new release came on to the market - to get all or most of the cards I wanted immediately - so that I would be able to work on decks and maintain as much of a competitive edge as I could.

This game is no different, really (though it NEEDS the auction house to really work) - if you want to get the most out of it, you need to spend some money. If you have a problem with that then so what - you can still play the game - and provided the servers attempt some kind of approximate matching based on rank, after a while you'll find you're generally pitched against players that have invested as little or as much as you have.

I see no problem with this whatsoever.

Jamie.

I was badly injured over Christmas and spend it in hospital, released on new years, can't do much for 12 weeks, then slowly rehab. So I have time and many people here have other reasons. Just because people are winning that does not mean playing 24/7 it means being good, having a good deck, and time. Some have more than others, but if it bothers you so much that they can dedicate that much time and you can't or won't then don't. Why are you competing with them? You going run the 100 meter dash and fail to run under 9 seconds then call the people that can time wasters and losers. They all prioritize their time according to their needs and you will never beat them. So relax.

Has nothing to do with skill. I have a crap deck. i am in the top five. Very easy to accumulate pts, even by losing. I am not competing. if I was, i would be spending $500.

If you want to spend your time trolling forums for a game you strongly dislike, feel free. But it seems kind of childish to me.
+1 to this.

If anyone hates the game or this forum, stop visiting this forum and stop playing the game.

If anyone cares for the game and wants to improve it, contact the devs.

Trolling here will not help. We are just players having fun and exploring ways to have more fun. I am sure there are ACR players out there having fun and not exploring forums at all.

Live your life, be happy. I just don't see the need to impose one's mentality and feelings onto others since it all boils down to individual preferences/likes/choices.

It's a bit weird to read you talk about loosing time and money, when we can see you in the top 10. Isn't it a bit time consuming for you?

Why do you play that game so much if you don't like the way it works?
Why are you still there, on the forum?

I'm bored reading your bitterness and your judgements. Can't you try to contibute instead?

No, it's a lot different from MtG.

However an auction house is constructed, you are never going to make a dime off what you have bought from UBI and you will never be able to sell a single card. You will only be able to trade cards for cards or Animus credits or vice-versa.

A matching system vs. similarly ranked players would be most welcome. I have no plans to spend enough to guarantee 5 Cesare Borgias* or multiple Pantheons, etc. And whatever I might want to trade with will eventually lose value over time because it is not collectible and never will be.

*i have 1 Cesare, zero Pantheons, zero Junos and I don't even have a Forced Charity. Funny thing is, I've beaten quite a few of those in the top 20 with a crappy red/green site deck but I know I can't possibly compete without having multiple copies of a lot of important rares.

Even with an Auction House, I have to have something to trade! I can't get from here to there in any event unless I pony up some big bucks, say another $150-$200. For an iPad app? Seriously?

UBIs pricing model is way out of whack. But have fun with it. No problem for me.

it's 'losing', not 'loosing'. It is not time consuming. There just aren't that many players. If you are bored then don't read. You can BET that ubi monitors comments here and the more flac they get for releasing a half baked product, the better. I AM contributing. Just because I am not spending a month's rent on virtual cards, doesn't mean i can't comment. You know what is NOT contributing? Wasting pages with $500 deck building ideas that can only apply to about 4 people.

[edit - someone misunderstood me for trying to shut everyone up, I wasn't. Feel free to speak about what you want to]

If you like the game play it, if you don't like the game don't play it. Isn't that simple?

I certainly don't think Ubi will change their business model for people who complain and are playing the game. Why? Because those people are NOT the majority.

Nor are the people who've spent some money in the game.

Both groups are outliers, about the 1% in the group of 6000 plus and growing daily.

If they changed the model, people who've already paid will get pissed. If they don't change the model, people who haven't paid will get pissed.

Which is better for Ubi, pissing off people who've already paid or people who haven't paid?

Sorry if you think you are wasting your time on something you don't seem to enjoy. It's like a relationship. Don't get into one expecting to change the other party. Accept what they are, work with that. I loved Magic. I found it very expensive to play (a heck of a lot more than ACR). So I quit, plain and simple. I didn't even sell my cards because I DID genuinely like the game. I don't regret that at all

This will be my last post on this subject, and I suggest all players who aren't complaining to do the same and not respond to complaints any further. Let's (the not-complaining players) talk about the game, and prevent this spiral of negative comments. Which is really pointless to me.

Thanks for reading

You're right. There should only be positive comments. Lol. Let's prohibit free speech while we're at it. You have no idea how lame that sounds. Wow.

It might be instructive for you to check out the Cabals forum and take note of the early complaints about their pricing model. Guess what? They changed it, even gave some stuff away.

If you've spent a LOT of money, your comments make perfect sense. You want to protect your "investment.". But you can't avoid what others think. The main complaints I heard were that the game has some significant bugs (it does), the ratings are a joke (also correct), and some people are trying to equate the game with MtG (no comparison). Oh well, there's more but no matter.

Look, enjoy yourself. No problem. Spend $1000 on expansions. I don't care. Play 24/7 for the next year, whatever turns you on. Do not tell me not to comment. Okay?

Please feel free to voice your own opinions. I'm talking to players who aren't complaining to not respond to complaints Sorry for the misunderstanding if it seems like I'm trying to censor you.

I don't like the bugs too (we are collecting bugs for them to fix here: http://acreedrecollection.proboards....play&thread=32), and I do want a proper ranking system, and I want an auction house. But I'm playing the game in the meantime despite not having those. And enjoying it. I've thus far spent $150.
