I like to test my decks against Mission 19 (AI's thief deck) as that can help you check how fast your deck is. Last edited by ottbot; 01-12-2012 at 09:40 AM.. |

Sadly AI is bad at chosing regions to attack or fights to enter. Most of the time, they should win faster than they do.
But yeah, it's a good fire test.

A lot of times I see people play their Cesares to block my 4/4 or 3/3 Lanz thinking they'll stop me. I'd love to see the look on their faces when their Cesare dies and my Lanz is undamaged. They probably think I'm cheating. |

Hi guys, This game looks interesting... how would you guys compare this to Magic: The Gathering – Duels of the Planeswalkers? Better / Worse? Thanks.

2 months. Lol! They need more money. Bug testing after release ain't cheap. Ubisoft just implemented a kickstarter program. If you go to their main site you will find a link that lets you donate. For every additional $500 they receive from each of you, the update will arrive one hour earlier. You will also receive a free Juan Borgia card, an amazingly rare 'uncommon' that is sure to be the highlight of any deck. If you send me $500, I will give you all 68 of my Juan Borgia's because I am feeling generous today.

It's different from MtG. Much different. It's more like Dominion and Ascension, but in real-time. You have the deck building aspect of a CCG, like MtG, but that's pretty much where the comparisons end (unless you count the money sucking aspect of card collecting, then it's very much like MtG). However, if you like games like MtG, Dominion and Ascension, then you really should check out AC:R.

Love Ascension. But what do you mean '...but in real-time'?

This is not a typical turn-based card game. The game starts and it's a free-for-all. You play your cards at whatever rate you want. Time advances in a day-night cycle, which helps you to determine the time it will take for the cards to resolve, but you can play your cards when you want, as long as you have the resources available. Your resources increase depending upon what cards you've played and the day-night cycle. It's kind of hard to describe, so you may want to go back to the first page of this thread and check out Sanuku's video.
It's a really great game. It's got it's faults, but with any luck, Ubisoft will make some tweeks and live up to their promises. It's definitely worth the $0.99 investment. Then you can check it out yourself. |
