So Altaem THAT was you who I played against just now, it was like necrophilia.
It's too bad, cos I got a pretty terrible hand, you could have easily won

Don't recall going AFK today. Bailed on plenty of games when my deck choked or simply all hope was lost. What's your name in game?

Faced him too. Twice. Boring.
Don't get it. So, I can't play: - pantheon/ri - cesare - lanz - discard So what Am I allowed to play if I don't want everybody to leave now? The starter deck? Please, post me a list of the cards I can use to avoid generating frustration in TA forums. |

IMO, Do not rely on the mulligan. Most times, when I play PvP and I find myself mulligan-ing in a lot of games - that's a clear sign that my deck has insufficient income boosters. (i.e. Plentiful Crop, Order of King, Dante, DI, Knowledge is power, Discreet calling, Forced Charity, Merchant ship, Forced inheritance) If I find myself losing in late game. and keeps drawing income boosters (useless at that point), that's a sign I need more 'finishing' cards. (Judgement Day, RI, 5/5 agents, Big Sites, Calling all Stand-ins, Daring Experiment, etc) and reduce the number of income booster cards. Just my 2 cents. That said, exceptions: PP is a very powerful income booster. Bronto's Nicodeck is the one I wanna build once I get 5 PP. With 5 Nicos/5 Ezio, Gold, it's pretty nasty. It basically works on the premise that before the "Counter/Control" (Blue/Order) players can get there 4 gold for Court Order; the Nico or Ezio is already causing havoc on the board. Combo decks: With Green. Juno/Female Fatale/RI+Pan decks. These can run an unbalanced percentage of income boosters + Spells: Only a few cards needed to win the game. Hence, these decks can run 5 in-depth studies/Quick Study/Scientific Method to 'search" (ie. "Tutor": MtG term) for the card they need. (I have a very nasty 'Chain' Pan/RI deck, ie cast one RI after another, which I've not played in weeks. It can win in day 3/4.) Lastly, that's part of the reason why I love this game. There are multiple ways to win: not the standard TCG whereby you just death-race and kill-your-opponent's avatar- hero-before-you-die game. |

I tried a deck like that; but did not work out for me. Maybe I will go back to it and try some more.

I've beat plenty of discard decks before. NOT playing blue. It's all circumstantial. They might not draw a discard every turn. You might be able to kill their citizen (if not, WHY not?). Discard may be strong, but it's not perfect. |

You still need a solution for Wrath of the Righteous if you're playing agents. Green has Scientifi Espionage which works well against discard (using it against them). Or even media with its copying. Sure he can lock you in the end, but if you have a rush deck and it gets to that point you were lost anyway. Discard is certainly not an unbeatable strategy by itself. It can be strong in combination with another, like rush for example. But still I don't think it's overpowered at all. |
