It's a bit polished indeed. You can see an effort in this direction.

Two game modes: Treasure and Time Trial.

Background music (OK), sounds (so so), nice interface, good graphics, not so great animations/effects. An OK production.

The instructions are there but I was lost initially, even after reading them.

In Treasure mode (the main one) you have two goals: get a rune and clear the board. Clear the board means remove the blocks between the board background and the gems/tiles. One of the biggest problems is that background and those blocks have almost the same color. It's not clear enough what's going on when you first play the game.

If you remove all the blocks but you don't get the rune(s) then the game says the stage is cleared but you can't advance to the next level. It's probably a bug because it does not make sense. You have to clear it and get the rune(s).

If you don't like timed puzzle then you will not enjoy this game: you have to hurry because the given time is short. Now the worst part of the game design: sometimes combos (that should be something good) ruin the game for you. The combos take too much time and it was common to see a game over right after combos and rune(s) animations using the last seconds. It's frustrating.

To make things even worse, while combos happen (and it occurs very often - not because you have planned but due the random tiles the game throws) you can't make any combination. Combos freeze the game but not the timer (it's really bad).

Finally, matching sounds are simply awful, very annoying.

Due to the obvious game designs flaws I simply can't recommend this game. It needs an update with several small tweaks to be a bit enjoyable.

Good stuff Carlos, I hope they update the small issues because the game looks to have a solid premise.

Tried it. This a fairly unexceptional match three game. The goals of the game seem a little awkwardly realized. Sound effects are so-so. Music seems like leftover 80s game music, which was actually a plus for me

Montezuma is the current match three title to get. Now if they would only give us a free untimed mode!
