Infinite Flight - Upcoming Flight Simulator (iPad/iPhone)

Infinite Flight is a new Flight Simulator by Flying Development Studio that is coming to iOS very soon. It was released on Windows Phone 7 last April and has received great reviews.

We finally have a gameplay video to show:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ArFc3v2NE9c

The simulator will have the same features that already exist on the Windows Phone version including 12 airplanes, 2 scenery regions, realistic flight physics, weather and time settings, missions, lessons, leaderboards, etc...
We've been updating the game regularly, releasing 11 updates since the initial version.

Release date is not set in stone yet, but we're getting close

We're going to be looking for beta testers in the coming weeks, we'll most likely announce the time when registrations open on our blog at www.flyingdevelopmentstudio.com or on twitter.com/flyingdevstudio

Can you list the 12 planes available?
Also, some information on the missions and lessons would be helpful.

Btw, what flight model is this simulator using? X-Plane's blade element theory is pretty close the the real world situations as it currently stands. Just wondering how this will end by 'feeling'.

We already have a shuttle landing mission, and a simple flight lesson. We have more in the pipeline with formation flight, landings, etc...

The flight model is something we created internally. It is based on real world physics. We don't derive the lift coefficients from the 3D model but we feed lift tables built for each section of the wing (based on the properties of the section like span, chord, aspect ratio...). It allows for precise control of the flight model at each steps of the simulation.
The result we've achieved so far is pretty satisfying for basic simulation of the 12 airplanes we have at the moment. Of course, there is always room for improvement.

Matt,
This app looks great. Again, I have been a beta tester on the Microsoft Flight Simulator in the past and would love to help on this project.
Thanks,
Howard

Add some combat for fighter jets and war planes, and this will be a much better flight sim than x-plane for iOS. Dont get me wrong, it clearly already is a better sim.

Currently Playing: Shadowgun, GTA3 Anniversary, Dead Space, FIFA 12, Dungeon Hunter 3
Waiting on: Battlefield 3 Aftershock, Real Racing 3, Mass Effect 3. NOVA 3
Beta Tested: Stir Fry, Lightopus

Thanks, we'll definitely have some support for war features in missions. It would be too bad to fly a F/A-18 without this
