There are sponsorship IAPs available, but they are 100% optional. Everything in the game can be obtained / unlocked without ever needing to spend an extra cent

really really hate non universal !
would pay the HD 3.99 if it also worked on my phone, but have reached a stage that i refuse to buy any game twice !
...can understand the iphone version, but ffs make the hd version also playable on an iphone

Edit ...ps will not buy this, although interested

Are you sure? I checked specifically and that's not what it says in the game description.

In any case, I picked up the iPad version mainly because curiosity got the better of me in the end and with the possible exception of the 10tons game there's no other release that remotely interests me tonight so far.
