App description: For too long, the phrase stretched to the breaking point has suffered from negative connotations. Its time to reclaim this expression from the Debbie Downers of the world and show how much fun it is to be pulled until things are so tense, you can barely contain it. And we have just the means for accomplishing this mission: Stretched.

BALLS IN THE AIR
Stretched challenges you to launch a ball through high-flying stages via a series of slingshots and catapults. Blast through bubbles en route to the goal. The more of the bubbles you pop, the more stars you earn in each of the 84 stages. And those 84 stages are, ahem, stretched across four different worlds, each with new themes such as Sunrise, Misty, and Monochrome.

MAN THE CATAPULTS (OR WOMAN THE CATAPULTS, WERE EQUAL OPPORTUNITY HERE)
Flinging your ball from catapult to catapult couldnt feel more natural thanks to precision touch controls and a useful trajectory line that shows you the arc you are about to travel. (You dont see the entire arc, mind youwheres the challenge in that?)

THINK BEFORE YOU FLICK
Solve puzzles by using different gadgets. Adhere to sticky balls, move chains and wheels to reveal the goal, and detonate bomb balls to clear a path. Many stages combines several mechanics into wonderfully clever puzzles that will leave you with a smarty-pants smile on your face.

UNIVERSALLY APPEALING
Stretched is a universal app, so you can play it on both your iPhone/iPod touch and iPad for the cost of a single download. Thats premium gaming at bargain prices, folks.

Glad to hear it! It really did get buried. Normally Chillingo will try a little harder to generate hype for a quality release.

Hell yeah! Wow, didn't mean to go all crazy...Sorry! But yeah, this is probably one of the best puzzlers I've ever played.

I'm playing some more, so i can really give a good/legit impression, but these have to be the best physics controls on the AppStore!

Edit

The fact that Chillingo is giving this away for $0.99 is ridiculous!

I've bought four games today(well. . . . one was free) and this is by far the best I've played.

Maybe I just have a thing for bug-eyed puzzlers.

And I thought I was getting bored of physics games.

It has to be the variety. So far, it doesn't seem like it can get boring. The graphics are insanely polished. It definitely lives up to Chillingo's standards.

This will probably be my GOTW. I still have to play Mini Motor Racing though!

Also, Let Me Out is pretty good as well. I just started playing it! Again, this is an excellent week for Chillingo.

It's got a really nice feel as well, and you're right most level seem to be different, and none seem to have that incredibly frustrating, that's just hard because I'm aiming for a teeny tiny spot, just give me a bit of leniency please, right that's it I've had enough, never will I play physics games again type of effect on me yet.

Yup, I have to concur with my fellow Touch Arcadians. The utterly sublime Stretched is easily the game of the week. By a country mile. Head and shoulders....and just about any other clich you can think of!

But much more significant than that, it's comfortably my favourite physics puzzler since World of Goo. Well, that and Contre Jour. Either way, for me these three titles are the very best of their genre on the entire App Store.

Stretched - an absurdly good game. Highly recommended.

9.5/10

Hall of Fame:
1. Superbrothers: Sword & Sworcery EP 2. Machinarium 3. Limbo 4. World of Goo 5. Ridiculous Fishing: A Tale of Redemption 6. Home 7. Rayman Jungle Run 8. Space Miner: Space Ore Bust 9. Rage HD 10. 1-Bit Ninja
