I've been playing Charadium II for the last couple of days (and all evening with my wife!), and feeling motivated to point out how much better it is than Draw Something, a similar but more limited game, which nonetheless has been very successful since bought by Zynga (a company many would prefer not to support as they've copied others' games!).
**1** the drawing tools: -a greater level of detail possible because Charadium lets you zoom in/out -many (unlimited?) levels of undo (vs only 1!) -you can draw objects more quickly because allows drawing of filled shapes (right-most tool) -you can have subtle detail within an object of the same color because multiple paintbrush strokes leave trails (like paint) -you can draw white things (background is like parchment) -more complex drawing tools are available (play around with them) -the above make possible not only more realistic depictions of things, but also illustration of more abstract [often = more fun] things **2** the "Ping-Pong"-type games (which are similar to Draw Something games) -you can have multiple people (not just 2) playing in a single game. When you go to the game, there could be multiple drawings cued up for you to guess! -you don't have to wait for the other person(s) to keep playing (there is a cue of multiple slots for drawings to be guessed and to be drawn. -letters are not shown at the beginning, so players can guess anything...but as time goes on, hints appear as additional letters, added hangman-style (and you can see on the progress bar when extra letters are going to be added) -in the list of prior drawings, you can see all the words the other person guessed -all drawings (and the animations that comprise them) are saved indefinitely, can viewed from the app or linked to with a web address. So a very good or very funny drawing isn't lost when the turn is over! -you can be matched with random people in addition to friends **3** the "Live" games (there's no equivalent in in Draw Something) -allow multiple people in a live chat room to take turns drawing -these people can be random or a room you set up only with friends -memes/conversations develop during the game creating a unique mini community (and preventing sleep) -you see yourself moving up (or down) the relative rankings after every drawing There are down-sides: -only available on iOS (iPhone/iPad) -fewer people own the game and thus fewer are available to play -interface for starting games more complicated -you can't have multiple pages per drawing (in Draw Something, if you delete a page, the other player sees the whole page being drawn before it is deleted...so you can draw ellipses and then continue with a drawing that presents a different way of thinking of the word) So if you have an iOS device, I obviously highly recommend Charadium II for iPhone/iPod Touch and Charadium II HD for iPad |

Unfortunately, this one's the killer for me. My gf has Android, and she's the only one I really play this sort of game with.

The ping pong games seem to be still limited to 4 pictures each, but in help it says it should be unlimited...
Is this a bug? |

My username is 'Kumeelyun' (pronounced 'chameleon')
I enjoy this game much more than Draw Something because of the more robust drawing tools at my disposal. Keep on fostering the community. |
