The update mentions that there are now ads. But that people who payed 4.99 for it can just not update and not get ads. At least they're honest about it, unlike some other devs, but I still imagine it sucks to have to manually manage your updates from now on if you paid for this game.

That's exactly what I have to do as of today,
since Gameloft and EA started to implement ads in their (former) paid games.
From now on I'll have to check every single update if it includes ads, bevor I update.
What a pain, just because of that freemium&IAP junk and people who support it.

As of now it seems I won't be buying any further Gameloft games (own like 9 out of 10 games from them)
because they're soon all becoming freemium, EA seems to be next in line,
they started to include ads in former paid games like Dead Space!
Well, I'll just shift my purchases to indie devs and if that becomes a problem in the future too....
I just as well stop buying iOS games all together.
I have like 480 right now, that will last me a lifetime to finish them all...
I sure as hell won't accept that freemium/ads garbage (sorry for the rant )
