If only it were that simple.

Like David says - "Marksmen attacks have a chance of dealing double damage." but this is ambiguous as The Marksmen Tower is the second level upgrade from Archer Tower. So is it only that tower or do all of the towers get the upgrade - even the specialist musket tower?

All of the archer-type towers do get affected by the Precision upgrade. You can see it in operation, a unit will display "Crit" when it's hit by a double-damage attack. You can also get a feeling for the probability. I'm not sure if it affects the special abilities, though. I am guessing not.

You do know, you can put points in an ability and try it out, and if you want later you can reassign all of your points? This is useful in trying different strategies for different levels, too.

Thanks David...can you help with this at all?

Also....most towers have special abilities that you can choose 3 times. For example on the artillery tower you can choose the dragon breath launcher which fires heat seeking rockets...you can select it 3 times to light up all of the lights. Does this mean I get 3 rockets instead of 1 or does it just make it faster?

It does say, when you tap on it. E.g., the first Dragon Breath Launcher costs 250 and says, "Launches seeking missiles with extended range that never miss and deal 140 to 180 damage." The second level costs 100 and says, "Improves missile area damage to 180-220." That seems pretty clear. It's 25% more effective, for 40% more cost (not a great deal, if you ask me).

Lol I didn't realise the upgrades said what they did too. Thanks David

Hear hear.

Seriously KR is the gold standard in Tower Defense games. When I play other TD games I think "but in KR it works and looks so much better!"

I don't know, there are a couple of things I don't like so much. Until you see what's coming you can't really make sensible plans, if the creeps are going to be deterministic it would be nice to be able to preview what's coming so you don't have to play through once just to know what to plan for. Of course a corollary to that is that a 2x mode (or faster) would be nice sometimes. And the towers aren't really as distinguished as they could be. I think there could be more variation so a mix is more important. E.g., I defeated Vez'nan with only archer towers with identical upgrades. I also don't love the arcade-style "tap on the towers to unlock them" thing.

I don't think the 2x mode is a big deal, since one is kept quite busy placing troops and rains of fire. Of all the TD games I've played, KR is the most polished and unique. Yes the towers are kind of similar, but they're different enough that you have to make sure you're using the right kind to win the game.

thats what i meant

i pretty much has nothing else to do in this game now that im trying to win the whole game by just barrack tower (no tower, just soldier, paladin, berserker, and the backup unit, no magic either)
