Gameloft on the other hand seem to be 'forcing' you to buy IAP's which is wrong. I used to think of IAP's as a way to cheat, back in the 80's/90's you had pokes you entered or combinations to unlock things. I think of IAPs' as a similar thing, a way for you to get forward on a game if youre stuck, better to play it with better items then think 'i'm stuck, fed up, i'm deleting this'. BUT the problem is IAP's from Gameloft are the reverse, they force you to basically buy them which isnt good at all.
I unlocked the last world today without IAP.

Yep thats what i'm torn about, you might be a 'super games player' ! Someone else said they 'completed Six Guns without any IAP's which must have been difficult.

I laughed when I saw Pocketgamer's article about the backlash of this game

Not really. I'm hoping they expand it when MP is added.

I probably have between 5 - 6 hrs put in. Solid gear increases the speed at which u rank up by huge amounts. Also to add to that, just because I unlocked the last world does not mean I can hang in those arenas. I'd be demolished within minutes of the first wave. So for now I finish up the third world and stock up on cash 'til I can upgrade.

Yep, it's so sad to see indie games not get the exposure they deserve; most of the time they have to rely on big publishers like Chillingo or Bulkypix so as not to be forgotten but even with that there's no guarantee. Couple that with the rampant piracy that's been happening (even IAP's can be cracked now, so even those try before you buy games are cracked now) AND Apple taking their cut and devs barely make a buck now.

Yep that'll be the downfall of iOS gaming if this carries on. If games were $20 each then i could understand, but when theyre soooo cheap (even before price reductions) i cant believe people still get pirated games. Shame

I had the problem with non-regenerating keys under iOS 5.01. So I killed everything from the task bar, restarted, deleted the game, and then did a clean reinstall, and then restarted again just to be sure, then I made sure that I played the game down to 4 keys the first time I launched it just to eliminate all the bad juju... and now my keys are regenerating.

Which did highlight the biggest problem with this game I can see: there's no persistent server based account. Gameloft has us verifying every lowly potion purchase with their servers to avoid any hacking of funds but they aren't returning the favor. If you unlock some character slots and buy a sack of gems worth of goods and remove the game at any point, that's all gone.

Hopefully they will address that down the road but I won't hold my breath.

The keys don't show that they've regenerated on my iPad 2 on 5.x until I start an arena. After it boots up, it shows 5 keys.

I remember seeing somewhere that only 5% iOS devices are jailbroken? Now don't take me wrong, these 5% may be pirating like there is no tomorrow, but still there are those other 95% of potential customers, no?
