Bought gems? Lol gems are free I've used thousands and not spent a penny.

It's really simple!

1) Add friends via Gameloft Live
2) Access your friend list via Social > Friends
3) You probably see your friends once they added you
4) If they gift you, u got [Accept Gift]
5) Otherwise you probably got [Send Gift]
6) The stuff you get from [Accept Gift] ranges from

Random Gold (max = Your Current Level * 2)
20 Gems
Collection Items (Trophy, Flowers or Chalice)
Elixir Potions (Strength, Magical or Agility)

Haha..yong2579 beat me to it. You can add any of us here (I'm tops2 on Gameloft) and you can add friends from any of our lists. Once I had > 300 "friends", you start to get gems at a pretty decent rate (~200 gems per day at least). And the tip I've been telling people for those who's in it for the long run..buy items with gems, upgrade with gold. =D When you're starting out, you might not get much gems, but after a while, you'll get a lot. I've unlocked a lot of gem only items this way.

Pretty sure it doesn't charge you to set up a friends list. I don't think Gameloft are that bad quite yet.

I liked what I played - it's a decent hack and slash with some gorgeous art/sound design and a nifty graphics engine - but I don't like most of Gameloft's games, don't want to sign up for their network and don't have the patience to add several hundred people on it. But if you do I can see that there's pretty much nothing on here you can't get for free, and with many, many times less grinding than earning everything yourself.

Yea it's pretty good, with 600 friends I can get 1000+ gems on a good day. But you have to keep checking back throughout the day. Add some from my friends list if you want: iVash

I just finished the game with my level 62 trickster, i barelly made it thru the last lvl with 4 pots, was there supposed to be an ending at all?, I passed the last lvl with a C, and it was just like a regular lvl, no ending. Could it be because I never finished world 2?, is there an ending?
