Oh cool, I just sort of assumed the game had all but been abandoned as I never previously knew of this new universal version!

Yep, we only put it out as Universal (and Free!) just before Xmas.

There's a resume token system that lets you start from later levels and they can be bought via in-app purchase if you run out (although you get a fair few for free while playing) People can use it if they find the game enjoyable and don't mind contributing to a small developers continuing struggle!

It didn't do great back in 2009 and had "fallen off" the App Store, so we didn't mind making it free. We really just want more people to try it as most people find it pretty enjoyable, those that DID discover it, t's never had much app store visibility though
This version is actually quite a lot nicer, so hopefully a few people get a bit of enjoyment out of it!

Game Impressions

A fun little game that is much easier for me to play on the big screen BUT...and I know this was the IDENTICAL WHINE I shared with you back in 2009, The built-in default highscores are just plain NASTY!

The current top default scores can stay just the way they are but, c'mon, why not have the bottom couple of scores complete push overs (maybe as low as 100k) so that I can AT LEAST get one of my scores on my own local leaderboard early on?

They were 10 times lower on the 1.0 version of Universal, but with the ability to resume from the point you last reached (well, nearest 5 level mark), you soon build up pretty high scores. If you reach level 15 or so, you should soon find yourself working up the table! On 1.0, it was too easy to wipe it clean though.
The difficulty builds up much more gradually now than it used too, but I will monitor this and if people still aren't getting good enough scores, I'll bring it all down a bit further

Don't forget, the real secret is to get your multiplier up, when ever you can, get a critical sink, and then throw more stuff in (even a big Brown blob) while it's flashing and you'll soon rack up the points !
