I've just discovered this game and I have to say that it looks awesome. Nice graphics, cute characters, and deep gameplay. Congratulations. I will follow it

The thing I love the most about this game is that it features something that the Pokemon titles never include (and should): character customization.
I'll get this game as soon as it hits the AppStore, for sure!

Wow. That's very kind and inspiring words. That is why I make games, I want to inspire others.

jirayasama I can't put a % value on completion to version 1.0 release. The game is not so straight forward. Because of the nature of the type of RPG it's always expanding and improving as it develops. The game's engine also gets refined more and more too.
I still have 2 key features to code. Most of the story and side quests need to be coded too. I have lots of maps to do. There really is lots that need to be done. I just need to focus and manage my workload to get it done as quick as possible.

to the developer: I think the game you're making - and games like it - are important.
I think that for a lot of people, buying a Nintendo system is motivated mostly by nostalgia. We want our Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, etc - and we buy the 3DS because there's no real alternative. Too many native iOS games are been purely casual, and not worth the kind of hours that people would otherwise dump into a Pokemon game. I have been following this thread (and others like OceanHorn) in the hopes that we finally get something that's good enough to leave the extra device behind.

So here's hoping. Looks good so far

Thanks. But I'm 13 lol and im (hopefully) trying to make one over the summer but my parents think its a 1. waste of my time 2. very risk taking and 3. too much money. (have to buy macbooks and ipod/pads.) If i can't do that... i'll just have the pleasure of playing other people's games.

I've sent you a PM popblanks. You should start off small. Check out tools like RPG Maker and Game Maker. Those type of tools will help you on your journey of becoming a game developer. I used to make fan games when I was 15 and onwards. I loved it.

Any ways, I just posted a blog on my Tumblr (again- it's a development blog and not a personal blog with me posting random stuff).
I talked about the improvements I've made to the engine and map debugging.
