I think you are right about skipping this game, but I think you're absolutely wrong about "mass-produced games". If this were actually mass produced (in other words, churned out by a factory-type developer) it would actually be competent. I remember playing several mass-produced games on the PS2, usually something associated with a media property, and they all played okay, but, as you said, had no soul.

A game like this one is likely the work of a small group who bit way more than they could chew. They were under-funded, under-experienced, and in the end likely desperate to get anything out to recoup some of their investment. Personally I like seeing developers take a risk, and will support their game if it's at least half-way decent. Unfortunately this one doesn't look to have cleared that bar.

Using the term aRPG actually loses points in my book. An explanation of the RPG elements would be better.

As I've stated before there's a difference between RPG and RPG elements.

Also, the wait times, combat, and IAP to difficulty ratio seem to be MEH. Is there any storyline or point to the leveling that would warrant/justify a $6 price tag? How many daily missions do you get? Do NPCs give out missions?

The fact that they're called missions instead of quests is also bothersome, since this is supposed to be a RPG.

Lastly, hack n' slash doesn't necessarily mean completely devoid of a story. (just throwing this in for...)

Perhaps not. Now dropped to $2.99 which seems a good price. Gotta love Appshopper!

They already slashed the price to $2.99!!

There goes any confidence one may have developed for this game/developer.

Well the impressions didn't really shine a bright light on the game. I'm pretty sure suarezero and I didn't help sell any copies either, but our concerns were valid. I have these same concerns outside of iOS. Lastly, shill posts never look good!
