What is the best top down shooter game?

What is the best top down shooter on the app store? I really want one, but I want to make an informed decision...

How about "vertical" shooter?

I believe there has been quite a list on this before, but I blame the less-than-perfect search engine. So here goes the ones I have tried and like:

Sentry Alpha,
rRootage (give us an update pretty please!!)
Dropship (?You can shoot sideways some how I know?)
iFighter "Lite" (I may actually pick up the full version)
Galaga "Lite" is fun but I like the remix part better

My criteria: I don't mind bullet hell, but don't make everything so large which looks either too childish or gives me an impression the developer pretend the game to be hard. Control and responsiveness are also the very keys.

Wait for Tyrian dude, I'm beta testing it and it beats Sky force, spacex, and any other vertical shooter out there. Perfect controls, like 100 upgrades to choose from, at least 7 ships, and over 50 levels. These are estimates there might be more than that.

they'll submit it once we're done finding bugs. It's a port of a game from 1995, and was my favorite game growing up. They've done a great job
Porting it over, and it'll be worth the wait. They're planning on selling it for .99, which is insane on the amount of content and writing there is. There's a video here somewhere, search for it.
