Thanks for posting that video. Seems a 'bit' like the car is on ice but not too bad. Cant wait to get this though, its a top down version of Chase HQ it seems (And APB). Roll on 12am!

ok, here are my impressions:

It's a great game, but much, much, MUCH too short. I mean, you can complete it (not with a 5 star rating on every level, but I mean complete every level) in under an hour. Probably even in under 45 minutes!

There is a joystick option too, but it doesn't work nearly as well as the default.

My biggest concern is with longevity though - those of you who aren't interested in leaderboard chasing and improving personal bests to increase score just aren't going to find much substance in the 22 included levels.

I am all about the high score though, but it didn't take me long to get 5 stars on the first 12 levels. The difficulty progression is quite good, I think, and levels are definitely getting harder to get 5 stars on. Mind you, there are GameCenter leaderboards for every level so that's where most of the replayability will come from.

Graphics on the iPhone 4 are good, but I've seen them done before, and unless you own the latest device (on which this looks amazing), they are nothing to write home about.

Something else I'm not happy with are the physics and AI.
The physics are brilliant for collisions and crashes, but when it comes to driving my car it feels a bit sloppy and slippery. I'd like to think this was intended, but it just doesn't feel right.

The AI of the passer-by cars just appals me, they randomly swerve and turn on the road and do U-turns where I wouldn't dare to in my car... Maybe it wouldn't bother me if I wasn't a driver, but I am and it does.

Despite everything though, I think the game is just fun to play! Although I have to say this, and this is my personal opinion only:
If you have an iPhone 4S or an iPad 2, the boosted graphics make this pretty dang good at the current price. If you have an iPhone 4 or earlier, this feels like it would be better value at $1.99
Agreed. The controls look odd (hope they feel better than they look) and the physics just seem horrible. I'll watch this one, but from the videos I'm far from hooked.

Yeah, I'm a bit on the fence now as well. However, my biggest concern is playing this on the iPod's small screen.

with the virtual joystic controlls it works verry well, the controlls really aren't an issue there. (I preferr them over the controlls where you have your finger behind the car)

Alright, that makes me feel a bit better. This is why I like multiple impressions for games I'm on the fence about because echoseven's description had me looking to take a pass on this game. I'm not complaining about the price personally, but $3 is a bit hairy on the AppStore. Let's see how this game competes with others released this week!

For the ammount of content currently available I do think the price is abit high, but that's the only big problem for me.

Yeah, pricing is tricky! Take Lumi for instance, it only has 10 levels but is easily worth $2. Why? Not necessarily because the production values are amazing (they are), but because you honestly will lose yourself in the game and enjoy ever second of it.

If the immersion factor is great for Smash Cops then I have no problem dropping $3. However, with the type of game that this is...IDK. There's also the small chance of the floty controls becoming annoying.

More than likely, thanks to you (Der-Kleine), I'll prolly buy it tonight and pass judgment later.
