WHO ARE POMPOM?

I'm Michael Michael. Yes thats right. Both Michael. Utterly ridiculous, yes? My mother obviously drank too much whisky. Either that, or was a comedian. I do have a middle name though. Paul. Which would make me Michael Paul Michael. Which sounds like a pope. So, I chose to stick with the plain old ridiculous title of Michael Michael. I take care of the art side of things, and a chunk of the design. I live in Cambridge, England.

The other Pom, is Miles Visman. A much cooler sounding name, I think we can all agree. Not a man of many words... relative to me that is. Miles does all the coding brain fry stuff, and argues with me about everything else. He lives in Hampstead, England.

We worked together at a few games companies, before bravely/foolishly deciding we could go it alone and make some cracking games people want to play. That was in the year 2000. We're still here, and still trying to make cracking games. We started out making PC games. Our first two titles Space Tripper and Mutant Storm, we're critically acclaimed by PC Gamer. From there, we spend a few years doing console games. We now hope to bring those console titles to PC and MAC via Steam. We've also been beavering away at some iOS titles, of which Monkey Bump is one... obviously! We have Jelly Pops & a big Alien Zombie Death update on the way for iOS.

We have one other loony, that we impose on for glorious music and sound effects. James Drabble. James has been doing our sound since 2004 and happy we are for it.

That's it. 3 blokes working from our homes, trying our damnedest to make games people want to play. Our games are small, as you would expect from mostly 2 people. But we believe in what we do.

Thanks for reading and I hope you dig our games

Thanks for your time
Mike

pretty good game, one level style like doodle jump where u try and get the high score. nice graphics, lots of eye candy and activity happening achievements etc. really like the touch control where u bump the monkey upwards by tapping slightly below it.

suggestions - monkey moves a little slow, maybe further on the level the level could speed up and also the monkey speeds up too. or to make it more difficult make it possible to tap only below a certain point on the screen, or have a delayed time interval before u can tap again. finally, what would be awesome would be having more than one monkey, trying to juggle 3 or more monkeys would be fun.

PomPom is on a roll with endless runner-like games. They have both Monkey Bump and Jelly Pops. Both require you collect life sustaining objects before your juice runs out and avoid bad guys. Monkey Bump is vertically oriented and also reminds me a bit of Doodle Jump. The graphics style goes for the cute look and used thick outlines. It controls very easily and is fun to play. It is a simple game that can be enjoyed by kids of all ages. Just like Jelly Pops, I think it is pretty good and well worth the asking price.

Yeah, you can really see how this evolved out of Poppi but is still its own thing.

Hey people! Quick! Look! It's another great game being ignored! No IAP or anything! Terrific gameplay and polish! Watch another piece of what's great about the app store vanish in front of your eyes! Amazing scenes not to be missed!

(@Devs: please ditch OF and add Gamecenter. That stands as a request for all your other games as well.)
