This looks brilliant and I *love* your pricing model. I've bought Gold.

I'm adding it to my RPG site now!

Updated my game today and I'm wondering if the Game Center achievements are going to automatically resync or do I need to delete my original saved game and restart? I've got the achievements unlocked from Open, but not Game Center even though it always gives me the welcome screen.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I hate seeing a 0 on my scoreboard.

Openfeint should sync them.

That's the thing, Openfeint works just fine, I see all my achievements but when I open Game Center, it says my score is 0 even though I've unlocked a ton of achievements. Any idea what's going on or how I can fix this?

Same here. Not a huge deal, but I like GC over Open.

You're not understanding the problem. It was a mess up with them implementing GC. The game is saving the achievements to OF. OF usually syncs achievements to GC when devs fix the problem. If any of you bought TBT when it first came out, the same problem occurred.

*The game itself might also be saving the achievements...IDK.

I haven't updated Ash yet, so i don't know if the update fixes it but it should--at least theoretically.

If you can let me know when/if it's fixed that would be awesome. Like I said above, I've downloaded the update and the achievements still aren't syncing so hopefully this can be fixed up sooner or later. It's not a life changing problem or anything, but still.

None of my achievements are showing up on Gamecenter, either old ones or new ones. I don't have OpenFeint. Luckily I'm not into achievements. :-)

I think the difficulty of the game is much more reasonable now!

Question: Is there any way we can find out more about what the various stats do? I understand HP and ATK, but that's about it, which makes it hard to choose equipment. What's the STA thing that's always lowered after battled, for example? What's the significance of SPD in battle? I assume MAG has something to do with magic, but what, since we don't seem to have SP anymore? How much damage magic attacks do?

EDIT: It took me just a little over 4 hours to finish Chapter 1, at what I didn't consider an especially hurried speed. Most was before the update -- it would presumably take longer now that the monsters are harder.

So, any sort of ETA on Chapter 2? ;-)

This isn't going to be the classic price complaint, I would just like to understand what the heck is going through the head of whatever marketing genius decided to (eventually) have 3 separate versions of the game, IAP chapter content at 3 different price tiers (100%, 50% and free), and then turned around and put the gold version on sale for the original price of the silver less than a month after the game debuted?

It's safe to say if there is ever an Ash III or other title from these devs that they're going to need another monetization model because nobody is going to buy any sort of gold/deluxe version at launch. I'm happy to have supported the development of this style of RPG with my full price purchase, but it is annoying to see devs you are trying to support then engage in these self destructive marketing gymnastics. When you completely abandon the rationale of the $5 gold version little more than 3 weeks after the game came out over Valentine's Day (of all non-reasons for any sale, let alone a game of this style), all you do is encourage everyone to wait in the future and not buy the silver at all.

Devs need to work harder to train consumers to behave better and stop giving into the urge to roll over and show your belly. There are so few good non-KRPGs on the app store that Ash II deserved better than a race to the bottom so soon after launch.
