I've already TOFTT, and I quite like it. You'll get the idea of the gameplay from the videos, but there are 4 different levels that you can fight in, and you can spend money on upgrading ships and buying new ones.

It doesn't have a lot of depth, but I found the control and the gameplay really quite good.

It looks like Sid Meier's Pirates -- just the ship battle part. Sound effects sound really good.

Might be more fun if there are more weapons and enhancements to fit on your ship. Is there? ( It doesn't look like there is from the second video -- at the end when the player clicked on the "shop" button. )

Yeah the shop is where you can buy new ships, but there's an upgrade button at the top right which you can click to upgrade each ship's weapon damage, movement speed and armour.

As I said, it doesn't have a whole lot of depth, but it had me hooked for a couple of hours this afternoon (and frankly, that doesn't happen all that often). I find the gameplay and control to be reasonably good fun.

is there anything like different ammunition like in pirates e.g chainballs, fragmentation and so on?

do you start with a small boat and work your way up to large galleys? more cannons etc

im on the edge of picking this up but i need at least the depth of the pirates battles in it.

Looks good. I'll consider during my next shopping spree.

Sierra275 on Gameloft Live, Openfeint, Gamecenter, and most other social gaming networks on the iTouch.

Looks pretty cool. Personally I would want a game such as this with modern undertones, where you can choose your class of battleship, cruiser, or even aircraft carrier, and survive levels of hostility where you'd have to either defend or attack a base from being destroyed, a target, or just survive. ... but hey, I might actually get this.

For one who loves sailing the seven seas, loot 'n and plundering, is this worth it?

Oh I wish for a good ol pirate game.

There is a review by someone (mirage6006) that complains pretty loudly about the controls - that worries me.

You tilt left and right to turn port or starboard. That's it. The only odd thing about the controls is the fact that a tap anywhere on the screen fires at your nearest enemy - you can't specify which side you shoot from.

I posted my look and a short vid earlier this morning:

It's a simple game, but it's fun.
