That way, if you encounter a freeloader, you can simply note that down on their profile so that it'd show up if you next play with them. Just another little tale for you, again, one of many (yeah, I can't stay away, and there's no one I know to play with...)

I just played a random PP with two others. First player died early, you know, trying to play the game?

I don't see the second player for half the wave, and I start thinking, "Weird, I can see the little "Player 2" box, so there has to be someone else in here with me?"

I finally find the player, being careful not to disturb his nap, and then finish the wave, basically alone.

Enter the boss fight, and look who it is! It's my lost teammate and his sword! He and I then proceed to run around together with our swords for a minute or two, but then he died (OK, I helped a little.).

Finished PP off, get to the stat screen, aaaaand... zero kills for my friend. Oh well, at least he made a little over $2,000.00 for his effort... yeah, apparently you get bonuses for just showing up, and based on the bonus of one of my other "teammates," the one from my Serpent match, the bonuses increase as the bosses get harder, even if you have zero kills...

Again, I realize some people have consistently amazing luck with MP, but I do not... and it really takes the fun out of the game.

Before I could even post this, I played another random PP match, exact same story. Player hiding in a corner, starts swinging his sword at me, eventually ends up in the boss fight. Gratefully, after helping the third "player" die, I HCed the PP, along with the player who was actually playing, and the two of us finished it. The player who died? ZERO kills.

I really hope Freyr does something about this, and soon, because I find myself getting more and more cynical, which is not the reason I play games...

I really appreciate the kind, thoughtful words you've offered recently.

I've been thinking a lot about this game in the past few days, with Superion going on hiatus, not being able to play with undead.exe nearly as much as I would like, and finally, Darthguy announcing he's not playing anymore.

What I have come up with today is that this game has so many qualities that could make it something truly great, but there are substantial issues that make the game frustrating, unfair, and encourage behavior counter to the whole point of "Co-op MP."

I'm done complaining and relating my little stories. Anyone who has played the game has a 100s of their own, or they've been extremely lucky.

2 Mithril today, from countless runs on all bosses except the Rages, simply because I've only been able to pick up 2 games.

Watching players who are really trying die with next to nothing, while people actively hiding and doing nothing get hundreds of thousands of dollars and Mithril, simply for showing up with a sword.

I love the mechanics, love the gameplay, love the environments, love the character models, love the weaponry, love the enemy types, but the balance is just not right, and I truly hope Freyr does something about it...

Be well my friend, and I hope you and I run together again at some point, if not in SW, perhaps in another game...

Not playing but everyone's starting to get bored of this game, and I for one agree. Superion , do you still play this? Undead? Dbc? Enjoo? Capricornman? Parcheesy? grey2theman? (If you weren't listed you haven't posted for a while or I haven't done a boss run with you.) Because, I will miss all of you if you quit this game. I will stalk ALL of you because you all are great. Stalking means p-mailing you, but this will happen not that often.
I am making a guide before I turn over to MC forum and you know, DBC I'm really proud of your growth(at a video game) and ability to become the master. I even going to use your catchphrase.
"Okay I'm done, put away the kleenex now."

Yup, Superion, I noticed your clever transformation of my advice post -- nice work with changing 1200 kills to 12:00am. I thought I'd just show exactly HOW late I'm staying up, if you were wondering why I'm not camping in bed >.>

Darthguy, I'm still playing this game fairly regularly, but that's probably because I've always had a few non community-based goals or gimmicks in this game I somewhat enjoy, well before I joined this forum. That being said, this forum community added a whole new dimension to the experience: suddenly, I'm alongside players who I actually know, and I want you guys to survive, do well, and enjoy the experience for more reasons than simply having another gun against an overgrown, firebreathing parrot. Trying out each and every weapon will keep me going for a little while longer, but I'm always looking to play alongside the awesome people I've met and talked to on here :P

If I end up putting this game down, whether it be for a little break or for good, I might listen to whatever game recommendations you guys have. Just be warned though, if you guys wanted to give me a helping hand, I'll probably be an infuriatingly slow noob to train up >.>
