Devs, question for you

Hey Devs just a little comment. Am I the only one that's tired of products having bugs, incompatibility with some iDevices, etc. ? So suggestion to anyone making a game; please use beta testers! They help a lot. That way we can have better quality apps. If you want beta testers, post here!

From the dev's I've spoken with, most Beta testers are unreliable and some don't respond at all. I agree, Beta testing is the way to go, but you need good people that are smart enough to provide intelligent feedback.

how many are just looking for a free game
there is no way to hold them accountable
unless the developers create a black list of no active beta testers
or some way to review them
you could just be handing out all these beta testing apps and only get one or two responses

I see your points. It's called expiration. U give the beta to testers. Even if they don't reply, if you want once the full version comes out end the beta. If you're nice leave the people who gave good feedback with the beta.

As a developer, we would love to have a larger team of beta testers.. But it really isn't very productive to get them from forums.

However, if anyone lives in the hollywood area and would like to volunteer to come into our offices and donate their time, I will gladly find you a desk, a notepad, and an iphone and let you test my app for a solid 8 hours. I'll even buy you pizza.

Beware, some beta testers just crack the apps they receives using standard ipa cracking tools and post them on the net. It had happened before.
