-Giving a train car a new weapon/item will completely heal it (not sure if this works with towers).
-Towers can be placed ALMOST anywhere but not too close to the water tower (if it doesn't seem to take with where you want to drop it, try moving a smidgen more from the water tower until it takes).
-You make points by killing baddies (more if you can kill several in rapid succession), dropping of passengers on the right hand side of the screen, and simply by moving forward (you gain points continuously as moving forward, but this aspect cuts off if you are still or going backwards).
-You must defend the water tower with your life, and ironically, it can be the source of life as you can use some of it to heal damage units.
-I think the water tower refills with each new wave (not super sure here).
most of those i found out by myself... but i'm still not clear on how to attach cars to my train ._. i managed to atach 2 by accident ._.

did not know about the healing tower one...

something i found out for easy points was to use water turrets to freeze the last unit of the wave, and just go from side to side boarding passengers till ur bored

You need to back your current train up to the new car's trailer hitch thingy.

Hey MadPuPPeT,
If he has found a rather blatant scoring exploit there (well found to be sure), is there any way you can quash that? Like something as kludgey as the freeze ray simply killing the baddies if all remaining baddies of the wave are currently frozen?

The passengers stop coming out after enemies have finished spawning, so its not much of an exploit. its a common strategy i also use to maximise points at the end of each wave, and since it takes some planning to be able to freeze the final enemy without killing them, i think its a valid strategy.
another way to score is just to keep moving, but, again, you stop scoring that way once the last enemy in a wave has spawned, so no exploit here either.

You'll get much higher scores if you deliver passengers during a wave, since the streaks also work as score multipliers.

finally, delivering passengers reduces the delay for the next deliveries of turrets and carriages, and so again its critical to keep delivering passengers during missions if you want the highest scores.

unfortunately, v1.0 isnt hard enough and you can actually hold of the enemy indefinitely.. waiting on apple to approve 1.1 which fixes this issue.

then i have 1.2 ready with some sound fixes and ui fixes and a lite version....

then 1.3 will have a new map and a set of new enemies and most likely some new turrets.

Just got this because I love TD games and this looks fun.

Just wanted to say that I clicked buy, it downloaded, I clicked my itunes "check for updates" and update 1.1 was immediately available for download.

Kinda odd, but hey, 1.1 is out!

had fun once i figured some thigns out, but i still am a bit clueless.... is tehre a tutorial in the game? cuz i didnt find one
Make sure you grab v1.1 update - it has a much nicer turret placement mode that also helps with towers (when the zoom reticle is green, you can place the tower). They can't be placed near the water tower or near other turrets/enemies.

Reverse into carriages to attach them, but you need to reverse into the front of the carriage (the direction it is being towed at the start - there is a visible notch at the front of the carriages).

The "help" button takes you to a tutorial page, but unfortunately its not obvious to most people (something I've addressed in update 1.2 which I'll submit to Apple soon)
Also, you can check out the gameplay videos on youtube (at the top of this thread) for some clues on how it works in action.

You don't need to know too much to play, but there is lots to learn to master the game.

Glad to hear it
There is a paragraph in the tutorial on reversing into the carriage, but easy enough to miss.

i'll check in the game now to see where is it

EDIT: ohhh so i had to scroll down... it didn't seem like you could scroll down on the window ._.

it actually offers all the help needed to play this game ._.

the only thing missing there in my opinion would be Tower Explination.

Clearly you thought this through and while a neat trick it wasn't as exploitable as I feared!

Oh, does the player get any sort of bonus based on whatever water is left at the end of a wave?
