Pretty much all of the above. BRP (the system behind RuneQuest, CoC and others) is one of my favorite real RPGs, too. Never been a fan of TBS games, but I do like tactical computer RPGs, like the SSI gold box series. This game is just too hard for me, frankly, as just about any TBS game would be; I'm not wired to think the way it requires. I did great in Shadow of the Comet, Prisoner of Ice, and Dark Corners of the Earth, but Wasted Land has my number. I didn't make it beyond the first fight, so if there is a gooey mythos center, I'll never get to enjoy it. lol

Any one playing this on the new iPad? If so, does the image fill the screen? Mine's offset. It looks like the bottom and right side are to small and not hitting the corners of the screen.

There had been some comments about display issues with past versions, as well as BloodyMurray's comment of glitches in the new iPad. Can anyone confirm if these are still there?

I played through the tutorial, but this isn't Call of Cthulhu. It's just a strategy RPG set on battlefields. Throw in some minor mentions of something mythos-ish and call it a day, it would seem. Maybe it gets to be more like Call of Cthulhu later, but I was pretty disappointed and haven't picked it up again so far.

Keep it up, it gets very demented later on.

I have just finished this but did not get the final game complete achievement. This would not normally bother me as I'm no fan of game centre and what not buuuut.....If any further missions are released I'm concerned I will not be able to play them as my main campaign status might be unfinished.

Anybody else with this issue? I had open Fient on at all times and have all other achievements in both OF and GC.

Yeah, that was my opinion as well. Yes, creatures start appearing later, and they get pretty big toward the end. But it still doesn't feel like Lovecraft's mythos. It just feels like a TBS/RPG with a WW1 theme, monsters and zombies, and a sanity mechanic thrown in for good measure.

Very disappointed with this.

1) it's buggy. Crashes a lot.
2) it's way too hard. I never made it through the first level on NORMAL. Played it for a couple hours, restarted that level three times.
3) terrible controls. Half the time my guys are walking somewhere by mistake.
4) buggy selection controls. You know what is fun? Having your guy pass out, putting someone with a med kit right next to him, not being able to select the dead guy to get him revived, watching him die permanently two turns later, and adding insult to injury - being forced to start the level over again. This selection process worked sometimes, but depending on where your guy dropped, you may or may not be able to click him. result? Being forced to start over FROM THE BEGINNING of the level. Not a few turns back or at a save point half way through the level, but from the start. What a terrible design decision. Games likes this, that can easily take an hour for a level, need a save slot to avoid this boring slog of redoing every single move. I have no interest in redoing the same level three times, going through the same enemies again and again. It is one thing to lose because i messed up, but to lose because controls are terrible, there is no excuse for this. $3 is overpriced for the game in its current state.

Deleted and refunded.

Quite enjoyed playing it. Excellent turn based strategy game.
