Default POLL: Is Fastlane TOO hard? Yes or No?

Simple. A lot of you have read my review (my blog link is in my signature) and am aware of my feelings towards this games difficulty level, and how I think it is TOO hard. Others agree. Yet there are some people who like the challenge.
I am sure most of us agree A4 and RT were too easy, but this game is completely the opposite.
So to put this to bed, I would like to put it to a vote. Is this game too hard, yes or no?
PLEASE also post to say how far you have got, and how many routes you have won a star for (come 1st place in). There's no point in saying you like the difficulty if you haven't even unlocked the harder routes yet.
I have reached the Industrial route (No.5) and cannot pass it. I have also managed to win the star for the first track only.

Yeah, this game seems rather difficult. I've only unlocked two tracks and have never finished above 3rd place. I've only played it for a little while though.

It is too hard. Especially the start. What about a casual gamer who don't want to learn all the skills to have fun with the game? A casual gamer wants an easy start to have fun.

That's why we have titles such as Raging Thunder. Also, mentalities such as urs is the reason why we haven't seen a "real game" in the app store...

I personally hate Raging Thunder.
I don't like the graphics and want Fastlane to be easier.

I love the challenge the game offers a lot, but I still voted that it's too difficult. There is no difficulty curve. It goes from hard to nearly impossible within three tracks.

I'm glad it's hard. I love trying to perfect my drifts and so on, but sometimes it's ridiculous. The third track has turns that if you mess up at all you lose what seems like tens seconds off your time. If you hit the white area you slide like you're on ice, hit the wall, completely stop for a second or two, then accelerate at a crawl until you make it to the track like five seconds later.

Hitting a wall would make you slow down and makes the game hard, which is good. Hitting that white area makes you want to beat your iPhone against the wall repeatedly, which is bad.

Things like that are what makes it unreasonably difficult. Everything else is great, but turns like that need to be kept for later levels. Putting that in track #3 is ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong, I really love this game. I still think it's great and completely worth buying. It has amazing replay value. They just need to fix some things like that. I still play it more than anything right now.

Bought it yesterday and after a couple of minutes playing I unlocked all tracks
to Crosstown... without any single slide... (still don't know how to exactly)

So, definetly NOT too hard!

Yes, I think so.

Challenging is nice but the game could support an easy (more arcade) mode for casual players (including those that don't have much free time to play).

Anyway, it's the first version of the game... Who knows what's coming?!

Somehow I don't believe you. After a couple of minutes? It takes a couple of minutes to do one route. And you are saying you unlocked 8 tracks in the same time as it takes to go round one? Without sliding/drifting? Impossible. Show a screenshot of the Crosstown info screen without its padlock icon over it then please.

Thank you to everyone else for your efforts so far.
