SNEAK PEEK - Triazzle 3.0

Hi Everyone,

Do you remember Triazzle? It was one of the early puzzle games on Mac & PC back in 1995 (published by Berkeley Systems - the After Dark folks) and was based on my series of paper puzzles that have sold over 5 million copies. Well, in mid June Triazzle 3.0 will be released on the App Store. And its light years beyond the previous game! It's got tons of great puzzles, art, animation and music. Please have a look at the details at triazzle.com. And there are 3 youtube videos that will give you a very good idea of what to expect! And I'd love to hear form any of you that may have played Triazzle before or are interested in the new game!

Short Description:
Triazzle is the animated graphical brain teaser puzzle that comes to life! Match the triangular puzzle pieces containing colorful characters in this pick-up-and-play puzzle-game based on the classic, award-winning series. Seven puzzle modes, an endless supply of challenges, stunning artwork and exotic, original music make Triazzle a delight for the mind as well as the senses.

- Pick-up-and-play, Triazzle is intuitive, easy to learn for anyone!

Looks pretty good... Couple of questions though:

I see you have different grid sizes, which adds an element of increased difficulty on the larger boards, but I also see that you have defined various difficulty "levels" on the *same* board sizes...
So what makes up the varying degrees of difficulty on boards of the same size?
Simply more repetitiveness on the symbols/animals used?

Also, can you tell me if the layouts are dynamically generated each time you play? Or are the layouts pre-determined?
ie: Does this game have infinite "replayability"?

Hello Brett, There are various components that contribute to the level of difficulty. One is the number of pieces but that is the least important because 9 piece puzzle can also be difficult. The most important element is the actual formula. Formulas take into account a number of factors, some that I won't get into, but one is the number of characters used. The strategy in the formulas has been developed over many years of designing Triazzles. Currently the formulas are not dynamically generated. I have created a large number of formulas and chosen specific ones for each level and format. Additional formulas will likely be added in updates. These layouts will give you a huge number of games to play, almost infinitely re-playable.

Wait a minute... this is like the real Dan Gilbert of Triazzle fame from when I was a young boy who loved these puzzles because of the AMAZING artwork? The same puzzles I'd buy from the Nature Company (R.I.P.) when I lived in California?

O.M.G. Wow. Awesome news Dan! Nice work on the game, very happy to see Triazzle is still around. Day one purchase for me.
