I looked at the icons before the description. C looks like you put most work into it, much more polished looking, indicated a higher quality app. I don't really get what it is though were as B gives me an idea of a physics game where you fire cats from cannons Angry Birds style which can be very appealing to many based on that alone. I'd say give B the same amount of polish as C and go for that.
E & G don't scale. Great idea trying a range of options. |

B... action, clarity - and somehow it gives me a Jetpack Joyride vibe, which isn't bad.

I'd say either B or F. Either of those would look nice and be one of your best options.

I really liked A and B. What if you combined them? Use the foreground (cat and cannon) from B and the background rays from A. If you could get some perspective where the cat is flying towards you I that could work well.

^Seepel summed up my thoughts exactly. The cloudy background in B gives it too much detail. It probably describes more about what the game is like, but you've got to remember this is for an icon, not a screenshot. The background in A just screams, icon. But without the pipe there in the corner it sort of looks like its a super-powered cat, not a cannon projectile.
E,F,G and H are all far too busy imo. And C suggests that the cannon is the main character, rather than the cat. |

C is the most mysterious one because we don't really understand the meaning of it.
B would be the most accurate one in my opinion. I would like to point out that I think your are wrong by saying that kids might be a large part of your market...you are on iOS...kids don't have credit cards. Ok some parents today buy apps for their kid, but what you are aiming for is people who like cats...and without any statistic I can affirm that a lot of women like cats. :P Good luck with your app, wish you the best! Icon B is the only one which indicates the concept of your game, plus the cat has a nice smile in B. The others with the cannon partially showing on the bottom look like Mario tubes.
I agree with others that a simpler background might work, like your "A" background. Having the light beams pointing in the same direction as he is launched works well too and the yellow in the beams is like a cannon burst. In summary, "B" with "A"'s background is your best bet. |

Hey, those are all on the right track. As a suggestion, look this article over and it might give you some good tips for improving your logos: http://www.gamesbrief.com/2012/02/lo...own-the-shelf/
I know it gave me some good ideas... |
