top down shooter "Anomaly" is out

A fast paced shooter [originally developed for the NintendoDS] has found a home on the iPhone. The game was developed by Sumiguchi [Canadian Jeremy Smith] and uses the art of SpriteAttack.

"Save humanity by defending Trinity from the attacks from nearby anomaly space in this action packed top down shooter."

More than 40 challenging missions across 11 anomalies
3 arcade modes: classic, timed and objective
14 awards to be won
automatic integration of your music/ in game music

That is definitely not what I was expecting to see. The video look 1000x better than the pictures. I'm definitely tempted to get this one.

@NotYou - yes... it turned out a little harder to get decent screengrabs - and we didn't just want to fake some... I will look into getting some better screens

Maybe you should reduce the images size to be like more the iPhone screen size.

@Carlos-Sz - Those screens are iphone screens [320px 480px].

Looks cool but it seems like it will be uncomfortable holding it in portrait mode with the thumbs so close. I'll wait for some reviews before I drop my 30 dimes.

@J.R.Jalapeno - It's weird I never thought of moving it to landscape mode. We originally designed the game for the NintendoDS - using the top screen for the aciton and the bottom screen to control the ship and the actions. When moving to the iphone it seemed just natural to do it that way. Our beta-testers - even the "big" ones with +6' and big hands had no problems with the portrait controls. As a result we never went for the landscape option - it may be an addition for an update or a sequel should "Anomaly" turn into a success.

Sounds good to me. Thanks for the quick feedback. I'll TOFTT after I feed the zoo I live with . I love these kind of games and it looks great.
