App description: Antithesis is the debut game from writer and editor Mike Schramm (in other words, it's the game he learned to code on).

It features an abstract, action-packed, and maybe even frightening (?) journey through an increasingly difficult world, ruled by a nameless antagonist.

Antithesis features:

-Simple controls that slowly but surely present an increasing challenge

-Extra features and abilities that unlock as you progress along through the world

-State-of-the-art sound effects and graphics, assembled by someone with no sense of design or budget at all

-Full Game Center-enabled leaderboards and achievements!

-NEW! Themes! Themes let you customize the look and feel of Antithesis in one of five different ways. Once unlocked, you can choose your own personal favorite to play Antithesis with a completely different look and flavor.

-NEW! Left-handed mode! You can now play with your left hand.

-NEW! Tweet your score! Show off to your friends if you've Schrammed it!

Antithesis was designed to be played and experienced on an iPhone 4 and an iPad 2. It should work on other devices, but no guarantees, because this is all Mike owns, so this is what the app was tested on.

Antithesis was first started at the 2011 360iDev Game Jam, and then worked on over a period of about eight months on and off. It is Mike Schramm's first title (since he coded some text adventures and address book programs in BASIC back in elementary school), so please be gentle. Enjoy!

Version 1.1 was created over about five months. Huge thanks to Blake Hogue (follow him at @blakiestblake on Twitter) and Mark Turpster" Turpin (follow him at @the_t on Twitter, and listen to Tipoaa at incrediblepodcast.com) for their contributions!

And if you like this app, be sure to check out Mike's other App Store offering, a puzzle game called Benediction. It's free! Go download it!

Either way I'm buying it now and will post impressions in a bit.

Monochromatic colors with some bright accents make for some very interesting visual effect. Looking forward to impressions.

Seems like a paddle game like breakout and arkanoid but too vague basing only on the screenshots.

Well first off I can say its kind of like what you'd get if Jeff minter was making a pong game :-)
Graphics are plain just white and black most of the time apart from when a special is triggered which adds some red and a big ball across the screen.
It controls by you sliding your finger up and down the side of the screen that your paddle is on, it reminds me a but of bit trip beat. Only there's no music at all only the sound effects of the ball bouncing.
Well its certainly different I can say that. It's not going to be for everyone as after all it's just a fancy version of pong but for 69p you can't really complain.
