Never heard of this before, so fresh impressions here:

This is very much a very cool visual entertainment app first; game second.

I couldn't believe the player controlled ship when I first moved the left stick: zero animation? It feels like you're controlling a cardboard cut-out. What a way to break immersion, and what on earth were they thinking?

Controls leave something to be desired.

On the whole, again, more of a visual toy and something to show off your device. Gameplay-wise this has nothing on the top half dozen or so "proper" games in the genre.

Although I also need to get used to the controls... stick appears where you touch but only after your first thumb movement while touching... a bit weird. But besides that, I think I just found my new favorite dual stick shmup! Presentation is awesome, enemies are cool. You can upgrade a ton. There are IAP for more in-game money, but you definitely can ignore that.
