Smule, creators of the Ocarina, introduce:
Leaf Trombone Lite & Free

This free edition is designed for those cheap people unwilling to cough up a buck for the paid version, Leaf Trombone: World Stage, “one of the twenty most anticipated games of 2009” according to Forbes Magazine.

The Lite & Free (!) version allows you to see how the Leaf Trombone works.

FREE PLAY: play the leaf trombone, either by blowing air into your microphone or just sliding the leaf (our Touch mode).

PLAY GAME: test out the game by practicing on the default track (that’s right, only one default track because this is the free version). Just follow the floating leaves on the screen.

OBSERVE: witness judging of actual performances by a live panel of judges by using the observe feature. You want to JUDGE? Well, then you need to spend a FULL dollar on the paid version.

COMPOSE: your own songs on smule.com, and play those songs on your own Leaf Trombone. This works the same way on the paid version.

Here are some of the accolades and awards Leaf Trombone: World Stage (the paid version of the product) has received so far:

"Smule's Ocarina and Leaf Trombone lead big parade of iPhone apps" - USA Today

"Brilliant, fun, and amazingly executed" - iLounge

“Forget console-quality 3D games, massively multiplayer connected titles... It's all about leaf trombones." - Pocket Gamer

"The World Stage will separate the Music Gods from the Wannabes" - GameZone.com

"Leaf Trombone will blow you away. 10/10!" – AppCraver

User reviews of the paid app:

Rock it Smule!, by dont come knockin
“This app rocks hard. I was rockin’ humiliated by those mean judges when I performed Crazy (a classic by Willie). But, I continue to rock it, and will Rock again soon.“

Blows Ocarina Away!, by WouldUdoit
Man, this app puts Ocarina to SHAME! Very nice. Think Ocarina on steroids.

Feel "ripped" by paying early. This "game" is not easy to learn, only make sure you use the headphone while practicing. The only complaint is the icon is a little ugly and does not fall in-line with other titles of Smule.

Huh? I love the game. I've learned it. Try playing a real trombone, see if that is easier..

I thought the icon was beautiful. Even though it doesn't really fall in with the other Smule apps (understand if you want all Smule apps in one row), the icon itself looks gorgeous. Probably one of the best icon designs we've seen yet.

Don't you see I was kidding?! Oh, looks like my humor does not always work...

I think it is "harder" than the Ocarina...
