Any tips for the volcano area? I'm struggling so hard, tried at least 5 times so far :3

Here's a shortcut, this one might be tough: In the level after the indoor level with the loads of hounds, get on a hound and bounce on top of another hound, riding the hound into the door above. Then climb the wall on the right side of the next level and there's a shortcut to the level before the boss.

Other than that, you can do one of two things: (1) take it slow, get on balloons and clear a path with coconuts, jumping off the balloon when you need to dodge, or (2) wing it, ride a hound and hold right on the d-pad while frantically shooting forward. I'm half-joking on that second one.

When you get to the boss, it might help to know that bouncing on him with a hound does damage to him.

Hmm...I've just hit somewhat of a roadblock. I'm on arctic and it seems as if the controls are somewhat unresponsive. I can't ever get into my stride/rhythm, which is something I really need when playing platformers, especially ones like this.

Is there some sort of delay because to the ice blocks?

It seems as if the delay is only bad in the the first cloud part and the level tight after it.

This solution would be useful if controlling the animals was worth a damn. Trying to do anything with precision while riding the animals is one of the most frustrating gaming experiences I've ever had.

So are you basically screwed if you get to the first room with balloons and have no hound? Because I've not figured out how to make the balloons do anything useful. They just float left to right, only rising slightly, and then run out of air.

You can still get to the platform above, it takes practice. Make sure to jump from the left-most balloon right when you're within range of the platform.

Again, the buttons are somewhat sticky. It's not a huge problem, but it's definitely a noticeable one.

Oh yeah! Why is the hound easier to control than the dog? I thought it was supposed to be the other way around.

Also, for those claiming unresponsive controls: jump when you are sure your feet are on the ground.
