I believe that it is a world-wide release at midnight. So I don't think there will be a NZ thread. I'm not 100% sure on this though.

Spent quite a bit of time on Tiny Towers before getting bored, hopefully this will be even better!

Ooh, I was just thinking how much I was looking forward to this game after I came across yet another Tiny Tower clone in the App Store.

Yay for Nimblebit for making original games.

I am really looking forward to this now, I had a feeling it would be out this week sometime, but I was sort of expecting it at the end of the month before I started reading the posts on Sunday, I have just completed Airport Mania 2 Wild Trips just in time.

You do actually realize that today/tomorrow so many Games will get released that you probably won't know which to load up first?

Don`t get me wrong! Pocket Planes does look like it could be fun but I`m still unsure about the iAP Factor since you didn`t really could read much about it anywhere because everyone seem to praise it as the next big thing and doesn`t even spent a few lines to explain how much iAP the Game does contain and when it does pretty much force you to use it or not.

Looking forward to see how the hole iAP works in the Game and if Pocket Planes is worth it to start a German Airline

NimbleBit has a history of creating freemium games in which the IAP is genuinely optional. Both Pocket Frogs and Tiny Tower could be played indefinitely without IAP.

With that history, I think most of us are willing to give them the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise. Personally, I just really dig what they're doing. They're two guys (brothers) who make original games with good graphics and solid gameplay. Though I eventually got bored of both PF and TT, I think they're two of the better games on the App Store and the first two I recommend to people who ask for that kind of sim-lite sort of game.

So I'm excited! Guess we'll see soon enough whether that was justified.

Cheers.

While I definitely think that their games are very generous with IAP currency to the point of being completely arbitrary, the actual IAP prices are a rip. I mean, for a buck in Tiny Towers you can get 10 TowerBux - that's nothing.

So instead I view their IAP as a donate button.

Ah, I remember last year that I got a promo code to play Tiny Tower a week earlier. I was thoroughly surprised by the work put into Tiny Tower, and I simply can't wait to play Pocket Planes!
