How good is joystick control? I am not a big fan of obscuring half the screen with my hand.
It's a floating joystick... But works pretty well. Better on the iPad, but still decent on an iPod.

But since it's a floating stick, and also, the game tilts with your device, you can hold it in portrait or landscape mode.

How is bulypix with price drops. Will the price drop in a couple days? If not I'll buy now.

I bought the game and I absolutely love it!
The graphics are breathtaking. The style is very reminiscent of the glowfish and in a good way. The environments and enemies are so dynamic. the movement is beautiful with multiple tentacles and other "bits" swaying as the various creatures swim around. Truly beautiful!
The controls are perfect. The touch control on ipod touch 4g works well, but the finger does obscure the view. I found the joystic to be extremely responsive and easy to use.
The fact that the game can be played in portrait or landscape orientation is a huge plus. I love the attention to detail. As you change orientation the numbers change orientation as well, making them eaier to read.
I like the set up with zones where your lightopus can travel between them. I like the freedom of being able to go to another zone or staying to battle the local predators for extra points.
I like checkpoints as well. I hate games where I get fairly far into it and then have to start from the beginning after I die. This game actually gives you freedom to be able to resume from a checkpoint or start a new game. Everyone wins.
I am glad that my curiosity overwhelmed my initial scepticism. I can recommend this game wholeheartedly. I am actually glad I paid full price for it as it is definitely worth that and more.
I just hope that devs don't add ads or some other crap in a future because as it is now the game is perfect.

Thank you for the support and the feedback I'm glad you're happy with the game, it makes all the hard work worth it.

And we will try our best to add better features and new gameplay in the future. There's shouldn't be any ad in our game except for a cross-promotion stuff from bulkypix which will only show other similar games by bulkypix that you might be interested in. Other then that, we will try our best to avoid screwing up the game

Hey Guys,

The game sounds/looks pretty neat but the checkpoints, while wondrously handy, kind of bother me as a fan of highscore survival games.

How about adding a Survival Mode where a player fights to the death in one environment. No checkpoints although perhaps a player can save and continue the game later as long as the save is deleted after it is reloaded.

This way both camps (completionists and survivalists) are happy!

Agree with this 100%!

FANTASTIC ideal. Really hope the devs do something like this.

You can check out Bulkypix's history/app activity on Appshopper.com via the web or their iOS app. Just check out a Bulkypix game and take a look at their app history at the bottom/side of the page. It'll show updates, price drops/increases, etc. They do a great job of tracking app/game activities.

You read our minds
That what I was referring too when I said "new gameplay". Our game designer is a survivalists, and he already have something up his sleeves
