I have a new iPad and like another poster mentioned, my Monster Flip saved data did come over. Also, the MF icon on the new iPad does not match the one I recall on my iPad 2 and definitely looks to be a mistake.

Any chance you'll implement iCloud? I love playing on my iPad, but have played most of the puzzle levels on my iPod (while in the bathroom, hehe)- and would love if I could have those puzzle scores on my iPad as well...

Default Nearly done all puzzles. any hints for this one?

OK
179 stars / 180.
Only 1 level to go

6-1 : Hammer
MonsterFlip-6_1.PNG

And I have literally spent hours and hours on this.
How is this possible in 5 moves?

Anyone?

Cheers
Simon

Some time ago, I had marked Hammer down as 6 moves to get three stars. Then James came along and solved it in 5 moves — but he didn't remember how to do it.

I spent the next few days swearing at him. Tired of my profanities, Tim came along and made a puzzle solving program, which then proceeded to solve Hammer in 5 moves — and show us how it was done.

So I know your pain. I can't remember how to solve it now off the top of my head (and I made the damn thing), but I do remember your first move should be to swipe most of the middle column. That might not help much, sorry — good luck!

Oh, and to anyone out there who likes Puzzle Mode: we're about to start making more for the first major update. Which ones did you like or dislike? Do you want to see more hideously fiendish ones? Got any ideas for puzzles? Let us know!

Very fun game.

Have you thought about doing Sequence mode as a 'daily challenge'? I'm a big fan of games that offer you a different puzzle or game each day (like WordJong or Wooords), so it'd be cool if there was a daily Sequence puzzle that played the same for everyone, but only for 24 hours.

That way, you could try and get onto a leaderboard and see how well you do. Perhaps 50 moves would be too many, I'm not sure.

I love Sequence already and it still produces a fresh game each time so it won't get stale, but a daily variety of it would be the icing on the cake!

Thats exactly what I have done since .. I have now done it in 5, and can't remember how on earth I arrived at that point.

Luckily I screenshotted the second to last move

//spoiler alert (but trust me - it doesnt help much!!! : ) )

Hopefully that icon issue is fixed with the 1.0.1 update that's just come out!

For the saved data issue, we've got a 1.0.2 update hopefully going to Apple quite soon, which fixes the backup-restore problem. Unfortunately (and I do apologise for this), it will require that you open the game on your old device so that it can set up the saved data properly. Then backup/restore will work fine.

Well, we're always keen to support bathroom puzzle solving. I think iCloud saving would be a good idea — no promises, but I'll certainly look into it!

Cool idea! Something that makes daily leaderboards tricky is that Game Center has a bizarre limit of 25 leaderboards per game. (Oh how I hate that limit — we ran into it hard with our previous game Mighty Fin.) Do WordJong and Wooords use a different leaderboard system, e.g. OpenFeint?
