I'm thinking that the innovative part is how the tiles move. You don't make 2 of them switch spots, but instead you have to move 3+ at a time.

I guess puzzle mode does look a bit like Bad Apples.
Yeah, not sure if there is really anything revolutionary here, but it looks slickly put together.

Flip lines of 3+ aliens to make 3+ figure rows or columns of same colored dudes. Occasionally one or more of the aliens can get ANGRY and if you don't eliminate him within a few moves he will blow up and end the game.

I only hope, as stated earlier, I won't have to play through Puzzle mode to unlock things like the Sequence or Countdown modes that do sound interesting to me.

I don't know, I was bored around half way through watching the video. Innovation does not equate to replacing a proven game mechanic with a less intuitive one to achieve the same result.

Yeah, I wasn't really sure how unique the gameplay style is. I'm just not familiar with it.

I'm thinking it'll be one of those games that will reward you for taking the time to get used to it.

And yeah, I hope you don't have to play through puzzle mode to unlock the other modes.

So right now, there's sanuku that likes it and nzer that doesn't.

No achievements. I hope they add some in a future update.

Right now, I'm reading through the instructions. The game is definitely a bit deeper than what you are probably thinking.

As far as the design, I don't think it's bland. I think it's elegantly cartoony. It also reminds me of Neopolitan ice cream.

Will post more impressions soon!

Edit:
Sequence Mode: You have 50 moves to get as many points as you can.
Puzzle Mode: Match away all the monsters

Countdown mode unlocks via Puzzle mode but it's very quick, you just need to finish a few puzzles. Sequence via Countdown, again via a quick/simple challenge.

So the unlock flow is Classic > Puzzle > Countdown > Sequence.

The Puzzle mode puzzles have multiple solutions, but reward you for finding the optimum solution in as few moves as possible.
