Impressions? This looks kinda sick.

Also: "large-scale" and "never-ending" should be hyphenated.

It's pretty good. Sort of a strictly one man (hero) version of a League of Legends. Not exactly going to wow you graphically, but as opposed to the more complex, arguably better Legendary Heroes, this one has been rock solid without a single crash since I grabbed it last night. I'm not that far along so I can't say how free it's "free" is, but it's worth a try.

Why do they make multiple topics for this? I'm assuming this one will be closed soon.

Yes the game is good. Very solid. But the upgrades you really need (like adding more units per level) are all locked with money. And they aren't cheap.

Has anyone made it far enough to determine how much you have to pay for it to be enjoyable?

I never understand these questions: it's enjoyable for nothing.

Now, can you unlock everything without opening your wallet? No idea, but probably not. Then again, I don't know why anyone would expect that either. If you pay nothing, you shouldn't get everything.

Cool game, but I'm not downloading it.

If it was online, and offline with bot games, basically like a Mini League of Legends/Dota, I'd totally download it and spend a lot of $$ on IAP. But this has stink missions with probably no replay value.

I never expected to be able to get everything for nothing. It was just a curiosity.

I was hoping someone with in-depth game experience could give me a ballpark estimate of eventual cost.

Well, haven't played enough of it to determine if there's an IAP wall or not, but so far it's the most enjoyable DotA clone I've played on my iPhone. It works a lot better than the other one I played, with a much more streamlined and sensible approach. It's pretty abbreviated, though, which makes it a lot more repetitive than DotA, but the A.I. is, thankfully, modeled after DotA and not LoL, which I personally think blows.
