iFBA - Final Burn Alpha for iOS - available

I had to join these forums to post about this emulator.

For a 1st release, its absolutely superb ! Runs some stuff that I’ve tried like a dream on my ipad 2 and all for free as well. Look forward to future releases.

My feedback on this so far, hope it helps :-
1. does this have Icontrol pad support ? Most icade apps work on icp but on this, only the icp buttons work
2. Couldnt get the directions to work on wiimote/classic controller, again buttons do work
3. on screen controls – maybe add some ones like in mame, to make control easier

Excellent first attempt,runs great on iPad 2!

My only issue is the onscreen d-pad. It just doesn't feel as smooth as,for example, imame's controller. Not sure if it's me,but I find that I can't pull of moves in fighters as easily/smoothly on iFBA. And with shooters I seem to keep stopping dead every now and then.

Maybe try to uninstall/reinstall or reset buttons mapping

I probably need to increase the detection area and allow to customize the location & the deadzone.

Here's another one for you, yoyo.

I just updated to 5.1 and downloaded iFBA. It'll launch just fine, but when I open a ROM, I get nothing but a black screen and the controls.

If it's a neogeo game, make sure you have the bios file in your roms folder (neogeo.zip).

All the ones I tried are CPS2 (I use Neo.emu for Neo-Geo).

ETA: Neo-Geo ROMs seem to work fine. Weird.

Might need to update your cps2 roms.

I took them directly from MAME 0.145 on my PC. I'll poke around and try some different ones though.

Got it working. Guess it was just some wonky ROMs.
