iFBA - Final Burn Alpha for iOS - available

v0.5 is up on Cydia!

Some quick impressions:
Allow user to select/deselect the background = very busy in my opinion
* I do like the game icons but maybe this can be turned on/off too?
* Filter now lets you set it by system (Cave, CPS1, 2, 3, etc. - which I like - thanks!)
* video,audio,controller settings can now be set for all and individual games!

Haven't fired up any games yet but excited to try it out!

Controller Settings for Virtual Pad: You can set the buttons wherever you want (literally).

Only problem i've seen is that if you select "reset to default" it doesn't put the buttons back to normal.

Did some snooping around and the background images are jpegs! which means we can change them out!

How did you do that? Imo the new background is too busy, I like clean look of the older version. Not a fan of the game icons either.

This update seems good though I don't understand why options need to be "current game" only, this mean if I change filter it needs to be done on each game. This is rather troublesome.

I like the fact the app can now be quit, this way we can either leave in the background by pressing home or press exit and quit the app for the time being. That's cool.

the background files are located in /Applications/iFBA.app
there are two files background1024.jpg and background2048.jpg

As far as the options being "current game", the only thing I noticed is that you can only mess with those settings after you launch a game, the settings themselves aren't game specific.

They are, when I changed filter from CRT to scanlines in Punisher and then loaded another game the other game was still using CRT.

Yeah, I was just going to post. We have Default settings now (which are universal from what I gather) in addition to Current game settings (which are for the game your playing).

Although there is an option to 'Reset to default settings' within the current game settings menu, this (I imagine) resets EVERYTHING back to your default (Video, Audio, Controllers, Emulation). It would be pretty cool if you could just reset the individual setting to default. A button within each sub category that resets the specific option's settings.

Current game settings/Audio = Reset to default Audio
Current game settings/Video (reset to default video)
- that sort of thing. I don't know how much work that would take but it would be pretty cool.

Yep, liking the new icons, and the ability to change the controller layout!
I'd like to see a button size between 1 & 2 though, one seems to big, the other a bit small for me.
Global settings for games is still there.

Ok I got it, default settings set the default settings (I feel a little stupid), I thought default settings would be a prompt asking to reset to default.

So basically the only negative change in this ver. imo is the background and icons, I really liked the clean look of old, it was awesome.

How is CPS3 running on iOS? Is it playable? I'm actually kind of shocked since it wasn't able to run properly on a PSP but it looks like it's working fine for the iPhone =S
