Don't know why I never tried this game before. Its like crack. I won't buy the full career unlock till after work on Friday for the fear of loss of productivity. ;P

Nope, nothing quite like it. You can always try the full NSS5 on your desktop, but on your mobile, if you're looking for byte-sized, addictive football, NSS is the way to go.

I dl'd this today, it let me play 10 matches in career mode before buying the full career.

I then paid the $.99 for it, good game for work.

Oh, so I guess it has changed. It used to only include arcade mode, IIRC. The flash version was a poor introduction, since it was obviously designed for touchscreens. The flash version has an aspect ratio similar to a smartphone, but kicking the ball or passing is floaty with a mouse cursor.

I'll have to reinstall and give it another go.

Ok...the controls are a bazillion times better on the iphone. The only thing holding me back a bit is the energy->cash management. I'm worried I'll completely screw myself over through poor decision making, and I won't but any iaps except for the unlock.

You can't really screw yourself over in a permanent way. The worst you can do is retard your progress by buying nothing but consumables and failing constantly. If you train and play reasonably well--both of which are dependent principally on your skills--then you're going to move up, even if it's slowly. At the very least, you'll always get more money from playing. You'll never need to spend a dime on IAP beyond the career mode unlock.
