Oh, yes, I use the simulation control. I'd forgotten the actual name. You can find out how to unlock each plane by going to the Profile section of the app. From there you can see all plane types, and if you tap on one it will say how to get it. In case you don't see the Zero (A6M), I do believe that that is one of the planes that is only unlocked if you have both Sky Gamblers Games (this and Rise of Glory). The other plane you get (if my memory works) is the A-10. And on the Rise of Glory side, you get a few planes as well for owning both Sky Gamblers games.

What the shortcut moves do is give you an increased chance of avoiding incoming missiles. That's it. They don't give you more maneuverability; you can use the normal simulation controls to do those moves. They merely increase the odds of a miss when you use them. They slow you way down, too, which means that if you rely on them too much you'll have a hard time keeping from slowing down to a crawl and getting downstroyed. So -- I use flares, terrain and buildings for avoiding incoming missiles until I'm out of flares, then I substitute the swipes for flares. I mean, I'll throw in a swipe here and there, too (like when I'm grabbing the flag, maybe), but otherwise I tend to fly without them.
